I\'m selling my 1992 RX7 Twin Turbo, and was wondering what would be a reasonable price to be asking. I\'ve looked around some sites selling similar models but the prices seen to vary dramaticaly. I\'ve attached a pic of my car, and there are some more in the Private Add section in here. There doesn\'t seem to be many Rx7s for sale that haven\'t had plastic bits stuck all over them.

not much as it doesnt have a bodykit couple of quid maybe

no seriuosly i would take a stab in the dark and say £6000ish

Gary,

Whats the mileage as that will crucially decide what someone will pay for it.
If the car itself is totally standard with say 63000 miles without rebuild you\'d say possibly £5000 or lower, if its had a recent rebuild then possibly £6000 or higher.

Hope that helps buddy. :)

Thanks for both of your quotes. Mines a jap import, I had it deristicted  5 months ago, it has done 68.000 miles.  It has turbo timer, turbo boost gauge, another gauge that I have no idea what it does, chrome gearstick, new 17inch tyres and new alloy wheels. It\'s also a hell of a lot quicker than my 1989, 911 3.2 Speedster.

I find this \'Whats it worth\' a question strange.

If you want to sell it stick it up at what you\'d like - if you don\'t sell it lower the asking price.

You must remember what you paid for it, add money  to cover the cost of stuff you\'ve spent on.

Take some of because it\'s now older and had one more owner.

It will depend how bad you want to sell it, you\'ll always get more if you can afford to hang out for your price.

Surely all this stuff is pretty basic...................

It\'ll only be worth what someone will pay.

I started with nothing and I have most of it left

Thanks John
So all those secondhand car price guides are a waste of time then.

If its 68k with no rebuild then obviously your pricing will have to take a hit to reflect that

Perhaps those plastic bits help sell a car sometimes :D

and yes price guides are useless

Gary Walker

I have to agree with you, the distinct lack of plastic bits on my car have certainly devalued it. I therefore consider a fair price to be £4995, with the 7 months parts and labour warranty.
Thanks for all your help.
