Hey guys, I had a bit of a max power moment a few months back and purchased a start button, talking to a friend of mine this week he said that if i get it fitted it would invalidate the Thatcham category on the alarm, ive spoke to my insurance company and they didnt know, just wondered if anyone has tackled this before:rolleyes:

ive fitted one before and cant see why it would effect it cause its not as if you just press the button and the car starts, the  ignitions got to be on for the button to work!

im probably wrong though i just cant see how it would effect the alarm.

Not sure where you stand on insurance.

I have one fitted on mine so can\'t see why it should invalidate it, as you still need to disable the alarm/immobiliser and turn on the ignition before it can be used to start the vehical.
