Water pump question, TII

Anyone know if the water pump is the same on a TII as it is on an EGI?

In case anyone else was wondering, the TII pump plate is an 8 bolt design, whereas the Egi one is a 7 bolt design with a slightly smaller water way.

 This can cause much swearing when you find it out.
