The car was obviosuly quick at 1.1 bar of 424rwhp but new owner was hungry for more power, so now mapped lastnight to 1.4 bar. Some very scary moments on the road in 4th gear at 7,000 with a bend that comes out of nowhere a 100 yards ahead.:(
Car now is ablsolutely crazy so is the owner I think.:D

Glad to hear it\'s in the hands of a serious RX owner, not some biscuit boy with a stick-on-parts fetish! Get it on the rollers so we can all gawp at the figures! Get it on the strip!!!!

PS; Nice one for mapping it up that far! Shows your not an A"pop"xi tuner!

I guess that post is a complement coming from a miserable git like yourself:D  I come down to give you a hard time the other week to find you had defected to area 54 for a while:rollin

:rollin Area 54! It was a compliment Brian, I am actually capable of them, dispite being a cinical hard-nosed git. But don\'t think for one minute I won\'t stop giving you a good ribbing at every given oppertunity. I will always associate the smell of gear oil on a hot sunny day will a Brian Ellias Open Diff Conversion!!:rollin

Not defected, just "expanding my educational oppertunities". ;)

Yeah? Grammar may be a good place to start:rollin

I\'m sure I saw this car at Santa Pod yesterday (Sun 23rd).

However, thanks to the huge queues (it was the first RWYB of the year and I was queuing up to run with the rest of them) never got to see it go.

I bloody well heard it though.

What times did it run?

Joel:wave

20B_boy

Yeah, some one else saw it there, no times seen tho.

Did u take the truck JK, or your bro in the R5?
R.

Joel Kelly

I took the truck up.

First the excuses:

(1) it was my first time up the strip;
(2) the tarmac was very cold;
(3) the queues were massive;
(4) I kept my ICE in the truck (sub enclosures and amps must weigh 70kg)...

I ran a 14.0 at 99.9. Not bad for a pick-up.

In the States a stock 04 Lightning has run a 13.2.

Hopefully I\'ll get quicker with more heat and more practice. Mind you, the R5\'s best is 14.2...

The Rex was parked up near the staging lanes for much of the afternoon. I hope the \'A"pop"xi\' comment isn\'t relevant. :confused:

scooby_si

was yours one of those big ass yank trucks then they were well funny made skybusses look like toy cars & doing burnouts followed by decent runs was funny, red vs black......
Nowt Apexi related for what it\'s worth.......
Si

Joel Kelly

Yup - my first run was against an R34 GTT (with about 350hp according to the owner).

He was giving it full launch control stylee on the line - his car was banging and flaming away and sounding really menacing. I did a lazy burnout and whooped him! In a truck! Ha ha...

Do you know what was wrong with the Rex?

scooby_si

this thread for a bit more info....
Wot power do those big puppies put out then?

Thanks for the link. I\'m sure I remember seeing Brian up to his elbows in diff\' at RS!

Truck makes 380hp and 450lb/ft according to the sales blurb. Having said that, 2004 trucks which have been dynoed in the States have made that much at the wheels, so they\'re fairly fruity!

It has a 5.4 supercharged V8.

Makes a BIG change from the Rex, but huge fun in different ways.

(but I miss the Rex so much:( )
