Aaarghhh!  The cars booked in at Reading for a check up on Thursday and would you believe it, a problem crops up!  I was driving with my girlfriend in the rex from Cambridge to London, and having sat in standstill traffic or been cruising at 80-90 on motorways, the power from the right pedal dissappears!  I pulled up in a shell service station and had a good look, thinking I\'d find a hose had come off or similar, but found nothing out of the ordinary other than a broken mount on the silver pipe under the strut brace from the intercooler toward the engine/turbos - I think its split over time.  I got my girlfriend to rev the engine whilst I felt for any air leaks but couldnt find any.  The dump valve is shooting out the compressed air absolutely fine (at least at standstill).  And its a brand new dump valve anyway so Im sure thats not the problem.  When I press the go pedal, there is an unmissably loud sucking noise, but no turbo power!  If the turbos blew whilst I was driving, I assume I\'d know about it wouldnt I?  Any ideas guys?

PS. A merry belated Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!  :)

mine did something like this, on mine there was a pipe going to the dump valve which was joined with 2 circular discs think the suction held them together, I\'d knocked these when doing my air filter but had noticed it & put it back together but what ever adhesion was on it previously had gone, just stuck it back together with new sealant & it worked fine

Thanks for the advice Gerry M.  I finally found the problem yesterday which turned out to be the jubilee clip thats way down to the left of the engine \'block\' had loosened and so air was escaping with every press of the go pedal.  Had to take quite a few pipes out to get to it and but that was it!  It was just so low in the engine bay it was difficult to find.  Thanks for your help.  :)
