I had 1500 2nds and 850 firsts and still hit 80 % duty cycle at 1 bar on a ported engine.   I found no problem with having the 850 primaries although someone did tell when they went back to 550s that the pick up was better.
Suck it and see.

I had,  the car still HAS, unfortunately we are no longer together,  it makes me very sad but we had to go our seperate ways. Somebody else is enjoying 440 bhp, although i dont envy them in this weather.    I didnt seem to make too much difference on fuel economy until you booted it.

Good luck,

sorry, just read the last bit,   I\'m not entirely sure but you may just about get 400 fwhp but i would think you will be pushing it.

The stock car has 2800cc worth of inj flow, you will have 3600,  you can only just squeeze just about 300 fwhp from the stock set up, you want 30 % more power and have 32% more injector flow, so it will be tight and you will be close to maxing out your duty cycle,    all this is dependant of course on the rest of your set up, and making sure you have sufficient fuel from the pump.   As the 850s are free i would use them just to make sure as you always want more later and saves blowing up your engine.

Tony
ps,
i\'m sure one of the tuners will give some scientific answer that will prove me wrong but mine worked.

i think my set up is ok for 400. single turbo n all that, fuel is deliverd by a wallbro 255,i was jus makin sure,il leave the 850 in there now,

who mapd urs for 440?

cheers asp

WOAH............ did you say walbro 255.

I bought one for my application but it looked a bit weedy so i decided to test its flow.  I connected the 255 and the stock one and ran them for a set time to see how much more it flowed.  I was shocked to see it only flowed about 10% more than the stock pump so i used both.  One pump for the secondary rail and the stock pump the prim rail.  It worked well.

I would sell the walbro and go to Re Worx and get a bosch pump, they are a little over a 100 quid and quickly available,  fit directly into the same place as the stock and definately flow enough.

If you look into the way the pumps are flow tested, they dont take into consideration the PSi the pump is creating to flow what it claims it can.  I think the 255 can only flow that much at something like 90 psi which is way too much,  you need something that will flow that much at 43 psi ish.

For 60 odd quid, it is piece of mind.  As i\'m sure you are aware, you can only run lean once.

sorry been on hols 4 a week,

i thought wallbro 255 r good 4 400 to 500 bhp,
i mite get anather 1 then.
been on the phone to 1 of our uk tuners, bout primary inj,
for me to use 850s as primarys properly i will need 600 odd bhp.
so cos iv only got a small t04 and was only look at gettin 400 bhp i was told 2 dich the 850s,

oh yea the wallbro is small i thought the same as u wen i got mine.

the problem with speaking with the tuners is that each one will give different ideas.  Try another one and they will say use them.  I was told by a tuner to use them and i only had a to4e.    You can always try it with out, monitor your injector cycle (very closely) and change them if you need.

get the 850\'s  fit them in primaries the car will run fine with no problem at all no bucking or anything of the sort at all. I have driven two cars with 850\'s one I did myself which I am currently driving and another that was already done both drive as smooth as a stock twin turbo literally no bucking  or any problems at all.
But I know not everyone has this experience.

I\'ll second what brian said ...i had 850\'s in primary and secondary with a to4e on a large streetport and had no problems....now have a hybrid gt40 and still runs sweet:D

There are 2 series of walbro for our cars..low pressure and high. I was forwarned on which part number to get. Is it possible you had the low pressure one?
