The Pacific Avatar convertibles done in US used a Mazda 626 boot lid.  This apparently had the right curve to fit the FB tail.

I think these were made by a specialist in Germany. They were quite absurdly expensive conversions, so only a two-digit number of these were made. Agree it looks somehow wrong, but to be fair, so does the factory spec FC cabrio. I'm quite intrigued by that boot lid. Wonder where that's from...

I can appreciate the workmanship going into this but it just looks so wrong?

More progress. Glove box still awaiting reassembly, because the lid stopper had surface rust! 😱
Found fuel hoses around the pump that were 6mm. Now replacing with 8mm hose as I go along. Suspect that might have caused the bad running.

It never rains, but it pours! Freshly upholstered dash top just arrived. Jan has done a very nice job indeed! I've seen many attempts at this type of stitching on Rx2 dash tops, but never one as straight and smooth as this!  :sign0098:

So, soon dash re-assembly is coming up. Just test fitted the new metal trim from Kustom Cuts for now. Looks promising! This will give Noriaki a proper facia-lift!  :D
