Heartbreakingly selling my 1994 fd3s.

Around 53k miles (first 20k of those are km)

Never failed an M.O.T and engine rebuilt by Jason at super7autos around 4k miles ago

Stock engine with exception of ARC intake and apexi ecu

Volk racing cv pro alloys
Burnout front bumper
Modified interior rear with speakers
Re-Amemiya headlight conversion

Owned by myself for 14 years and selling due to new addition to the family (baby seats and RX7's don't mix)

Car is located in Ruislip (North West London)

Looking for £15,000

General Technical / Have I blown a fuse?
July 02, 2011, 04:03:15 PM
thanks for the advice guys. turns out it was the fuse that PDale pointed out. Also fortunately for me, there were some spares inside the fuse box cover so didn\'t have to go buy some.

bit of luck for a change!

Hi there,

When I got in my FD yesterday I plugged in a phone charger into the cigarette lighter (never done that before but batt was running low and I needed the sat nav on my phone)

anyway, it didn\'t work and my stereo won\'t turn on now, and my aircon has stopped working (on the hottest day of the year!) still blows air, but it\'s just hot air.

Is there a single fuse that could affect my stereo and the Air con? or have I done something else?

Quote from: noyzboy100dbIf you can find another way of getting it to the rebuilders without running it, then you will minimise the risk of doing further damage, which you will of course have to pay for.

Quote from: Jin KazamaI would highly recommend sponsored Vendor Carl Hayward (Hayward Rotary), cheaper than Rotechniks and a he takes real pride in his work and is a true enthusiast always having time to talk and offer friendly advice.

where is he based?
and anyone with experience with him have a price range?

Quote from: elford_timBoth my RX-7s have engines that were rebuilt by RoTechniks (I bought the cars from them with a fresh rebuild) and I\'d be happy to recommend them if you\'re looking for someone to do your engine.

excellent... good to know the closest garage is reliable, helps me out quite a bit, the other one i was recommended was in dorset.

Quote from: Nik da GreekNo probs, dude, good luck with it all. If it were me, I\'d probably cane the ol\' credit card too, I think it\'s the kind of thing it probably is a false economy to try and save on in the long run. But then I\'m paranoid!

Missuses (if that\'s a word) are like that, mine certainly is! I think the final straw for her will be when I find I can\'t fit a child seat in the back of an FD after all, which means the nipper\'ll have to go in the front and the wife in the back. Mmmm, won\'t she just love that!

fortunately she has a civic so i don\'t have to worry about that, thing she whines about is not alot of shopping fits in the boot =)

Thanks Nik, that helps alot.
and thanks everyone else too. will have the money in a couple weeks and will give them a call, anything extra will have to go on a credit card or something for a while.
either way has to be done (missus keeps telling me to get rid of the 7...silly silly person)
