My poorly FD, overheating and losing coolant. Tried to start her with the rad filler cap off and it just bubbled water out and wouldnt start. Sound like a cracked/broken casting?

We're going to drain the block and get it trailered to Dwaynes in Queensferry and probably start discussing a rebuild!

Recently went on a little roadtrip to the Evotriangle and the horseshoe pass in Wales with a couple of friends ( another FD and an RX8) Here's just a few pictures



















She's recently having a bit of work done, cleaned up underneath & undersealed and new set of coilovers as the ones before were mis-matched 3 Tein struts and 1 standard one! Didn't handle the best so hopefully see a massive improvement.

Hi, I've actually been a member of the forum for years, but not been on, or visited for a while for one reason or another (had a baby, got married, etc etc) but back into the swing of things now, hopefully be able to get to some shows or something in 2015.

Proud owner of a black FD, some mods but nothing too major. I'll put some recent photos up in the 3rd gen section, also some pics of our recent road trip to the evo triangle in Wales, which I definitely recommend

Just a bit of an update...had a vented headlight cover, got some red silicone coolant hoses but not fitted yet and had the drivers door resprayed when it was off road over winter because the lacquer was peeling quite badly! Apart from that nothing else really....had a compression test done on saturday and still good results in high 7\'s so she\'s looking good!

The car\'s in storage at the mo for winter so we can\'t just go and look.. lol.....

I know it sounds silly but have you made sure that the slidy wheel on the left side of the steering wheel is turned to have the lights on? You can them off with that! (i\'ve given myself a similar shock in the past) :Giggle

Fuse in the footwell - middle row, left hand side is the first port of call, after that, the TNS relay on the slam panel, after that... i\'m stumped...
 
EDIT: Be very wary, chances are you won\'t have any side lights, tail lights, or numberplate lights either!

I made sure I had lights working before I drove home....that probably means it\'s not going to be the fuse if they\'re on the same one!! :xconfused

Just driving along the other day, and noticed it was getting dark. Better put some sidelights on!

The mileage counter disappeared and no dash lights at all!

I had to drive home in the dark not knowing what speed I was doing....good excuse for the coppers I guess...I\'ve been and checked it again today, hoping it was one of those mysterious things that FD\'s have a habit of fixing by themselves, but no....

Anyone got any ideas? Fuse? Loose Wiring? I\'m no good with electrics
