Try those first and if no joy replace the rev dial mate.

I got a spare working one if you need, but i would just check connections on the back first.

try taking out the cluster and make sure the connectors are all in place

but it is a Common problem and it maybe dry joints or something, had to replace mine once before.

I even bought a spare lol and never had to use it so if your in need to replace let me know.

i earthed mine form multiple locations just to make sure

General Technical / idle control
January 11, 2010, 10:36:07 PM
Hi mate you got a apexi PFC or standard ecu.

mine always idled bad when i installed my apexi ecu, you could try removing the idle control valve, back of the plenum near the fire wall, it about a 1.5 inch cylindrical valve that controls the idle, mine seems to idle fine after i unplug it, but mad idle when its installed.

General Technical / high idle
January 10, 2010, 10:33:18 PM
could be an adjustment, a few screws around the throttle can adjust the idle, the first one would be under the elbow between the two bottom bolts that hold on the throttle.

do a search for idle adjustment screw and you may find another thread maybe.
do you have a standard ecu?

or you could have a vac leak which would cause a high idle

General Technical / offset
January 07, 2010, 09:56:34 PM
Hi no worries but its the offset you need to find the PCD is the wheel nut  spacing, and if they fit now they still will after rolling lol.

are you happy with how the wheel and arch sit now?

if so then just rolling 20mm and moving the wheel 20mm it will sit in the arch the same.

however if you want a more agrassive look and want the wheel to sit out further then the guy will need the offset so he and you can work out how much to move the wheel or the arch.

for instance my wheels are +45 offset, and ive fitted 20mm spacers on standard arch, so im running an offset of 25 which i think is going to rub as i would realy think below 30 is not good for standard arch.

but glad i could help.

General Technical / offset

Hi i will chip in with my 2p worth
standard
Wheel diameter
16 Inch

Wheel rim width
8JJ

Genuine installing tire size
The 225/50R16 (with the grade the ZR)

Wheel offset
+50 (mm)

P.C.D.
114.3 (Mm)

Standard major diameter of tire of this size
632-635mm

firstly what offset are your re wheels, should be printed in the same area you found the sizes 18X 8.5

now if your happy with your current posistion regarding the arch and tyre/wheel then if you roll and extend 20mm then space 20mm it should be fine.

You now need to look at your tyres and find the info or would imagine its something like
8.5 front 225,35
9.5 rear 255,30

and tell your guy

let him work out the rest.

hope that helps.

hi guys got this setup which needs putting in before second mapping, was going to push the twin setup im using, only run the car once a week and am  going to get it mapped again by wgt so just need to add a few mods and was hoping for some advise.

Got this plenum with two extra injectors welded in,  its a wgt setup and it has a rail to feed the injectors with just a feed no return.

my question being which fuel pipe do i tap into to feed these injectors, can i just tap into the line before it feeds the primary or should i tap into the fuel line after primary but before the secondary rail or just tap in after the secondary on the return and before the fpr?.

(going to speak to wgt next week but was hoping someone may just know.

mods are decat, apexi ecu, fmic, zaust, apexi filters, currently mapped on 0.8 bar making 330fwhp

going on are bosch 044 pump, hks down pipe, and a new zaust, greedy profec b boost controller.

any advise welcome, i dont ecpect the twins to last long on 1 bar but i only do 2000-3000 miles max a year anyway and will then go single so hoping the supporting mods will sufice for my transistion inot the single world.

was hoping to go for  bar and see how long it lasts :)
