2nd generation RX-7's / stupid alarm
May 24, 2009, 08:44:28 PM
i locked the rex with the fob last night and the indicators are stuck on and wont clear but only on the right side. Its a standard alarm for a mazda 626 according to the manual. does anyone know how to clear the problem? i have tried leaving the batt off for 2 hours but as soon as i put it back on it locks the alarm and when i start it over alarm goes off and prolem reoccurs. any help would be ace:wiggle

air pump, looks the same as the fc\'s just stick a breather filter on the end just so no dust gets in. Nothing major. Remove egi fuse as said by other people. or fit a kill switch to the fuel pump, good for security and de flooding as mine does it loads on short journeys. must be some thread on how to do it for FD\'s on here somewhere

2nd generation RX-7's / failed MOT :\'(
May 06, 2009, 02:28:32 PM
well i had a mot fail last week wednesday, bit of welding to be done, mot was already out by 4 days, and only taxed it today tax was 6 days out. No fine yet through post, there is suposedly a 14 day unoffical limit to get your tax sorted, if you fail you mot i would think that would be a good enough reason just get it sorted as quickly as possible and make sure you got all your documents in the car, just incase you get pulled over when taking it to mot centre, at least you will be able to prove what your saying. Failing that, get it MOT somewhere a little less strict if you know what i mean. ;) Dont unsorn it it will be a ball ache and will take more time which will = more fines. As for the shocker borrow some off someone or stick some stock shocks on as a quick fix to pass, wish i could help ya out mate. good luck

You cant really get to the diff casing bolts so had to take the whole thing out. I know its going to be quite risky in the wet but i plan not to drive it when it rains lol.
