Pop up fella, there was folks from as far afield as Nothants last year.

Don\'t be worried about not knowing anyone, I didnt know anyone and they were all a friendly bunch last year.

Trotter, would be good to see a good rex turnout! Hope you can make it.

Quote from: CarlMark,
here is a couple of pics of the second fastest rotary in the world up the strip, you are right, they are not running a dump valve, they are actually running two!
Regards
Carl

I\'m also loving the lack of Intercooler! But then they make up for it with the massive front mount oil cooler! Suppose not worth the extra weight -not exactly like it be doin big distances.

What size you recon the three turbo\'s are? Bet that was an interesting choice as to what to go for.

Also, I\'ve rang round a few Mazda garages in the area and they all seem bewildered. I get the explanation that they have done it on RX-8\'s but never a 7 and that they don\'t believe there diagnostic machine will be able to test a RX-7.

Andy,

You have a contact number or msn address? I can shout you the link -don\'t want everyone to see the advert! I have a few questions to ask as well :)

Thanks for the offer, but I\'m going tomorrow to take a look.

Or give me a call: 07870264891

Many thanks everyone

Just another quick question (apologises for pestering)

Is anybody aware of rotary specialists in the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire area?

Good idea about the discs, didnt think of that. Would be quite a give away.

The interior from the pics looks in perfect condition, but I suppose the only way I\'ll be able to tell for sure is when I go and take a look.

As for compression tests, what is the main difference in getting a rotary tested compared to a normal car? I have a guage you see.

Following up on my quest for a unmollested Rex I\'ve come across one that seems to good to be true...

94\' Fresh Import (2 months in country)
28k on clock
Standard

Now, I\'ve heard the rumours about imports being clocked as they come into the country, could this be one??

Its a trade sale so rang them up this morning to ask if the car had service history to prove the mileage and he answered no, and that he deals with 100\'s of imports a year and none of them have service history. This sounded a bit dojy to me considering the age of the car and the mileage.

Either way I\'m gonna take a look cause its not to far away from me and could be a steal.

Are there any clues that could give away higher mileage than stated? (Other than compression test of course)

A UK spec 99\' won\'t of had much UK salt abuse. And will have all the other 99\' spec bits n bobs.

Well anyways, sorry but not for me anyways.

I\'ve found a 95\' around 32k miles, import for just over £7k. Just arrived in UK as well. I smell a bargain :) Going to take a look at condition this weekend but details say its in good nick.

Quote from: NeweraA genuine 29,000 mile car in mint condition: http://www.neweraimports.com/carDetails.jsp?carId=250

Looks like a fine example, bit to pricey for me. Especially after that UK Spec \'99 went for £9k :2eek

No compression test? Slight concerns over if remapped after cat-back?

Thanks Andy!

I\'m just 10 miles North of Lincoln. Whereabouts are you?

Never seen a single turbo rex, might have to meet up!

Quote from: ash......Be careful of some traders as some dont know much about these cars and try and flog a bad example for the average if not higher market rate.

Yeh I\'ve noticed this :2eek

Quote from: one2watchwhats your budget?

Depends on really what I find. But anything from £5-7k. If it shows all the right signs of being cared for with no messing around (recent rebuild, few carefully selected mods, etc) then I could push over that but I think I\'m getting the hang of what a fair price is.

Hey Everyone,

Just recently joined the forum to help in my search for a Rex!

Wondered if anyone could suggest websites or places in general to look for them? So far I\'ve found pistonheads.com but thats about it.

After a quality example, thats not been mod\'d much - not after crazy power.

Thanks!
