3rd generation RX-7's / carbon fiber door panels
August 16, 2016, 05:10:37 PM
I'm looking for an alternative for the standard door panels, as there is no way to make these look legit. (and i tried nearly every cleanser on the planet! ;) )

my 3 options are (with look and weight in mind):

1. upholster with fabric/leather - looks (probably) better, adds a bit weight
2. seibon carbon door panels - looks like standard, probably a bit lighter than the standard panels, shiny but expensive (around 700 gbp)
3. flat carbon door panels - very lightweight, more room for cage, might look spare, down-to-earth with standard dashboard, cheap.

can you guys tell me where i get these flat carbon panels in the uk, how much these cost and can they be used with speakers without compromising the sound to much? pics of these would be great...! :)

...i have to reanimate this thread...

...can any of you guys tell me how tto uninstall the mounts of the sunvisors...?

When you take the sunvisor out of the inner clamp, you can take it off when gently pulling it. But the both mounts of each side seem to be welded in - i guess the screws are hidden, as the manual tells me there are some, can anyone give me a tip how the get the caps off to get access to the screws without destroying anything... :D

@Jacek: my post was directed to wo:deep, not you. ;)

I don\'t know what oilman can recommend for an SA, but i guess it could be similar to the others, rotaries it self are not so different, and you have to use new rubber/seals in your older engine equally.

The benefit of these oils is independent from the type of the rotary, i suppose. :)

@Wo:deep: spend any time following this thread? oilman has mentioned it on page 1 (post # 3, to be exact).

(Einfach eine gute Möglichkeit, dich mal wieder feiern zu lassen, gell? ;-) )

3rd generation RX-7's / Whats Better spoiler vs wingless?
February 18, 2009, 02:57:06 PM
...yeah, you\'re right.

...but i\'ve heard from people with S14\'s driving on our highways will make a difference from 200km/h and above. The RX-7 has less downforce on the rear than an S14, because of his sloping rear, i hope you know what i mean.

And, trust me, in our area (Berlin and around) we\'re driving fast often, most of our Autobahn in this area is unlimited... :D

So, thats what i want to say. In germany you\'re kind of pussy when you have a high powered car and no wing, because anybody knows that you\'re not driving hard, hahaha... ;)

...if your RX is for cruising around the ice cream shop and impressing the ladies, the you don\'t need a rear wing.

If you use your RX-7 for what it\'s made for (going fast on street/highways, or some quartermiles) then it\'s impossible to drive it hard without a wing and stay dry in your pants. The RX need downforce, as without any diffusors/wings he is very light at high speeds, i would never go without. The standard wing has improved over the years, so the \'99Spec is a very good option, andlooks nice, too.

Higher rear wings can improve that downforce as good as diffusors, but that depends on where you use the car... :)

....yeah, i hope so... :) ...wrong spelling? sorry for my english, dude... :(

...pics received, thanks, i\'m get back on it soon, please retain it till then... :D

If you ask me, keep the rear spats and buy the other type of rear diffusor RE offers...it fits perfectly with the spats, seen this often on cars at rx7club.com and japan... And you don\'t need to cut anything of this diffusor (what will reduce worth a lot...)

...if its undamaged, i would take it...depends on the price... :D

...but selling to me is better than cut anyone of these parts... :D
