It\'s a long time since I ran twins but from memory the standard boost pattern for twins is 10-8-10 (psi). So you should see 10 psi up to the turbo changeover point (4500rpm?), a slight drop as the turbos changeover, then 10 psi up to the redline. I\'d guess with the filter kit and exhaust it\'s probably boosting slighty higher than that, maybe 12-10-12. If it\'s doing more than that, especially up to the redline then drive it off boost until you get your mapping sorted. IMO it\'s well worth saving up for a PFC.

hope that helps,

Steve

2nd generation RX-7's / New MoT test and cats

Quote from: no_boingers;803155Uh huh... so what\'s your point?  "I\'m alright Jack \'cos mine\'s an import :p "?

Pretty much, yeah. Along with the vast majority of FDs in the country. I\'d guess there\'s way less than 100 UK spec FDs left on our roads.

Quote from: no_boingers;802922Exactly.  If your vin number contains FD13B2 then you are subject to a cat emissions test (and therefore have to have a cat present post 1/1/12).

But no jap import FDs have that format VIN number. Only the UK spec ones do.

Grub, drop me an email to steve@efini dot co dot uk, I\'ll do you a deal on the headers and custom rad I have. They were made around the Samberg mounting kit and the exhaust will mate up with a standard/aftermarket FD catback.
As for brakes, I don\'t think you can go far wrong with standard disks and a decent set of pads unless you\'re going on track.

I have a radtec rad and longtube headers surplus to requirements if you decide to go ahead and do it.

3rd generation RX-7's / JDM Type R CYM

Fair enough.

Alex, If the door sticker\'s still intact then there should be a paint colour code on there. What does that say?

As I recall, CYM was a US only colour. There were other yellow JDM cars but they\'re just straight yellow, not the mica of the US model. It\'s been a looooong time since I looked at this stuff though...

edited to add.... The "special edition" on the door sticker is just a header or title for that section of the sticker. It\'s only a special edition if there are letters printed underneath "special edition".

That\'s just a mildly photoshopped Ferrari 599 GTO. And the dash mock up has an RX-8 plan view! Is it April the 1st already?

Done, Mark. Give me a ring whenever, I\'m available all day at the mo.

No, it\'s a single 4" slash cut tailpipe. 3" bore I think. I\'ll check and take some pics tonight.

I\'ve got a WGT catback for sale at the moment. It\'s one of the quieter ones available, I\'d say it\'s on a par with the Racing Beat (which is what I replaced when I put the WGT on) and passed no problem on trackdays. I only did 600 miles with it before going V8 so it\'s barely used. £150 if you\'re interested

Have you tried writing the original file (the one you saved in step 3) back to the Power FC?

I should be able to sort that for you. It\'s for an LS1 isn\'t it? Can you send me a pic of the PCM connector just to make sure I\'ve got the right test harness for it? email it to steve at efini dot co dot uk

cheers,

Steve

Quote from: bimbleuk;708130Just to plug my Monaro PCM in to the right OBDII programmer to remove the security and emmisions I was quoted £300 over here!

You should have asked on here mate. I\'d have done it for the cost of the licence plus a couple of beer tokens!

Quote from: MaLicE;707691right worked out plug 1, pin a that should have a constant 12v and it doesnt! now the wire goes up through the bulkhead down the passenger wing and in to the bay but where it goes there im unsure... does anyone know or can you make sense of the diagram in the workshop manual??

According to the wiring diagram it should go to the 10amp Room fuse under the driver\'s side dash.
