i have a silver FD (clydebank)
one of the buyers in our work has a broken FC (Dalry i think) currently under going a bare bone rebuild.
and my cousin has just bought a blown FD - to add to his collection- Dumbarton

get breakdown cover  and your sorted, saved me £200 for a visit to WGT.

you can change the fuelling on the ECU via the commander, i had the same problem with Emissions ( i did have the airpump on), PIP@WGT showed me how to change it , but was specific to my Remap, and it passed emissions and then i turned the fuelling % back up.

are these pictures taken hand held or on a Tripod

what shutter speed ?( my guess 1/2 second@F8)

i experienced something very similar- i played about with loads of stuff trying to resolve it-

eventually got a Sniffer test - for Hydrocarbons in the Coolant-

yip - the dreaded Water Seals had gone

i think i just need to re-calibrate myself around time lines for rebuilds on the car, i was expecting a quick turnaround in 2-3 weeks for it to be complete


but the guy is a very busy and one of the best- i just need to wait

better fill the 406 diesel up again ,:Yawn

on the positive side look how much $ saving on fuel

i could understand the delay - if parts had to be ordered- but the car has sat in the premises of builder since the 21st June and nothing has been touched with the car!!!

don\'t want to flame any builder at the moment, just want to understand if this is the standard  of customer service , you get when you are about to spend £5k!!

Folks, how long should it take for Rebuild Specialist to rebuild my Engine (waterseal),  had it nearly 3 weeks and not touched it yet!

i suppose a lesson for all

i think i have an airlock in the system, has anybody got a picture of the coolant hose i need to remove.

i\'m on a step learning curve with this RX

phil , i have the exact same symptoms, did the AST cap resolve the problem?

mines is reading KPH, just checked using my SATNAv

is there an option on the Fc to change this
