Hi, don\'t suppose you still have the \'non fitted\' suspension stuff? Would you be willing to sell separate? Arms and ploy bushes etc

AST Suspension are sorting me out, 60odd quid per unit to rebuild plus any unusual parts they need (normal seals included). They have been EXCELLENT so far.

The only part they can\'t get was the 12mm shaft seal. I made a quick call to Apexi USA and spoke to Chuck who does the rebuilding and revalving in the states who has priced them at $6 something plus tax each. Another REALLY nice and REALLY helpful guy.

A luck would have it he lives in Pasadena (where my wife is) so said he would drop them off at my apartment for me

I\'m getting her to send me over some plugs (7\'s and 9\'s), some leads, and some spider gears for the bug so she can drop these in the package too.

He also said he could package up a complete rebuild kit if I wanted as they do them all the time...

Hopefully that will help anyone in a similar predicament in the future (AST and Apexi-USA).

Hi all,

So long story short I bought a set of used Apex N1 Pro coilovers a few weeks back and have only just got round to fitting them (as the turbos were off the car). I fitted them a few nights ago and unfortunately after getting to the bottom of my street it became clear that one of the rears appears to be completely knackered!

It feels like there\'s no damping at all and it clunks, banks and bounces violently over anything remotely uneven. I\'ve tried adjusting the damping to full hard and 12 clicks from hard and there\'s no difference. to be honest its way outside of anything within a normal adjustment range anyway so pretty sure its knackered! The other three appear fine though.

They\'re mono-tubes I believe so would assume the nitrogen charge on the opposing side of the piston has escaped or similar, having said that it was set pretty low so maybe it\'s more serious. Either way I\'m now 350quid into a set of coilovers I can\'t really use so could do with some help!

I reckon it\'ll need a rebuild which means I should probably have both rears done so they\'re the same. There doesn\'t appear to be any UK based Apexi contacts so do any of you have any ideas or know of any UK based companies that refurb damping units?

Hi Shaun, Long time no speak - Yeah it\'s great out here how\'s everything back there? It\'s t-shirt weather again today... It\'s rained like three times since April, the weather is just insane! Rotary\'s seem to be pretty pricey out here in comparison to the UK though, I know i can\'t get an FD as nice as mine was for the same cash thats for sure! I\'d struggle to get get one at all! (hence the lack of one...)

Fuel is back down to $1.79 a gallon you\'ll be pleased to hear... Although higher octanes are a little more (over the $2 mark).

the roads are pretty poor around LA though, loads of pot holes, very uneven and poor surface, not sure if an FD would be bearable. I\'m either going to go with an old school rotary or a 67/68 Mustang next - The T-Bird is cool but i want more muscle! It\'s a difficult choice - I\'ve wanted a 60\'s mustang since i can remember but i REALLY have the rotary bug too... Maybe i can convince Lauren she needs a rotary...

You know when you flash someone to let them go past, thats the high beem...

Most cheap xenon setups have single layer xeons, which can only show one level of beem (light brightness), high beem works because the bulb has two elements and so when you flash someone, it lights the second element in the light bulb giving a stronger light effect...

Xenon setups to be able to produce high beem will need a special bulb, or a bulb with a non xenon bulb attached to the bottom of it for high beem... Called H4-2. Cheaper sets come with a single layer light as mentioned earlier

I\'ve had all three! 17 - 18 I didn\'t notice a difference in handling, it is harsher over bumps though. The 19\'s were VERY crashy over bumps, tramlined all over the place and felt very vague. Did look good though
