Cars for Sale / Re: Looking for an fd
September 06, 2019, 04:18:23 AM
Yo leggy long time no speak, sorry I've not been on here in a while, hows tricks man??.No it was boost issues that put her off the road, probably the rats nest or something similar, I had other things on the go at the time and a couple of other cars so drained her dry of fuel and dry stored her, she ended up in there for a while then I lost my storage and thought rather than have her sitting outside for however long i'd sell her on but its been eating away at me since, I shouldn't have let her go she was a very clean example, who now resides in Poland sadly :-(

Cars for Sale / Looking for an fd

Hi all after selling on my fd that had been in storage earlier in the year, rather than put it back on the road I have been seriously pining for it,just the empty space in my garage is making me sick :-( ,so that said I'm looking to get back into ownership,I'm looking for something in very good condition mechanically, preferably not too modified bodywise but I'm open to suggestions, must be a clean car, with little or no rust n a good strong lump, beyond that I'm quite open, although no major projects,a little bodywork here or there or minor recommissioning  considered,I have cash waiting for the right car.

General Technical / Re: Project 7 Full ground up resto

Not running but was before it was put away & brakes are pretty seized up :-( ,I'm going to get the brakes freed up & drag it out the garage this weekend, see if it turns over .I'm pretty much resigned to a full rebuild, was going to contact WGT, rotary revs & super seven this week to get a worst case scenario price and take things from there, I'm budgeting around 6k to get it back on the road so I'll see how it goes. I wont be going crazy keeping the body mostly stock & was thinking if its getting rebuilt anyway I could go single turbo get rid of the headache of the twins not crazy power, just a little bump n preferably a little more reliable

General Technical / Project 7 Full ground up resto

Hi all its been a long time since I've been on here & wanted some advice, I got a 93 fd, pretty stock atm been dry stored for about 5 years, it's pretty straight, reasonably clean. I'm looking to get it fully restored & wondering people thoughts on who to take it to for a full rebuild and overhaul of all the braking systems etc e.g. the full works to get it roadworthy again & if I'm there possibly squeeze out a bit more power.I have a decent budget in mind but obv want to get as much for my cash as poss n just wondering  what the consensus was for best bang for buck as far as who to goto????

Hi everyone was on the forum good few years back as I'm now in a position to either a. sell my old fd & buy another or b. get mine rebuilt & put back on the road, just looking for some good solid advice on who to speak to about this project, cost aint everything but I'd like to keep things to a reasonable level & as I'm in scotland everythings a little more difficult, the cars sat in a dry garage for about five years, drained of fuel etc anyone got some ideas on which route to take n who to speak to ??

Hey everyone hoping for some advice im gettin rather erratic readings from my oil pressure guage, the cars starting, running & pulling fine, its showing nothing at times n then jumping up n down etc, also seems to settle down showing kinda normal reading of 6kg blah blah at a reasonable speed so i assume its the sender?? anyone any ideas if this is a sensible judgement & could someone tell me where 2 get at it & how 2 remove it if poss??.
