ok mate, does the boost guage go to vac at idle? Yes (assuming you mean goes to the very bottom?)
You wont get much boost sitting still what does the gauge go up to on stand still or on the road? Both standing and driving it only gets to 0bar
if you turn off or disconnect the boost controller it should boost normally as it will use the wastegate spring to controol pressure if it it doesnt i suspect you have a problem with the hotside of the turbo or wastegate,
Though if it was a wastegate fault you would hear it failing and the exhaust gas coming out.

I doesn\'t sound wrong when driving and giving it full throttle, I will see if i can try and give it a go with the boost controller off but it was annoying the hell out of the residents next to the job we are on so may have to leave it until later.

Is there a way of resetting the boost controller? I have a feeling it is this that is causing the problem. The head unit installers may have had the battery off, could this have done something???

Single turbo mate. It has a boost gauge and i cant hear any boost leaks and there are no signs of blown hoses.

It did have a new head unit fitted yesterday but i find it hard to believe that it is causing any issues.

I have a feeling it is a setting issue but i\'m not sure what the setting were or should be?

Have you installed google chrome? If so, have you uninstalled it??

ok,

Mate has bought a single turbo FD3S.

Up until yesterday it was boosting fine. It has a Greedy Profec boost controller and an Apexi power FC and commander.

Now then, today on the drive to work he was complaining of little to no boost.

I have had as much of a look as i can, everything seems to be in place in the engine bay.

It would seem that the turbo is spooling up, but not generating any boost (enough boost to get the dump valve excited), the apexi commander is reading 0 bar and so is the boost gauge.

The greedy controller had been messed with and was set too low, so i set it back to 0.9bar on lo setting and 1.2bar on the high setting but still no boost??

Anyone got any ideas??

Thanks

pretty much every install ive done, ive always used a tec screw for the earth an necer had any problems, it does sound like an earth issuse but i wouldnt recomend going to the battery. Have a play with the earth and also generally check the whole wiring of the system. could be a loose wire or somethin. f i was a little closer id come and have a perv at what youve done, but im a bit too far away. Hope this Helps

i really feel in 2 minds about this. I agree with both sides, If you went to a gym, joined up for membership then found that people were using it for free, u would be upset. but at the same time, most peeps will be a non member for an amount of time before coughing up to be a member, i think what has/is being done may have to experimental for a while, if it doesnt work then we tried and we will have to think of another way to encourage non members to join this wonderful club.
