So glad you got a good result in such exalted company and on a budget a fraction of some of those out there.

Colin (Voycetune) was a one time customer of mine and I installed the CCTV at his Billericay premises. I think maybe I told you the story of his Mountune developed engine and what it cost so little wonder he was quick. His son Stuart was also at one time racing a Beemer.

What the hell does that do for the handling?

Quote from: jinx on April 28, 2020, 11:56:53 AMWhile we're on the subject...Consul Capri.... :love4:

Reminds me I had three Consul Classics, one standard 1500 coverted to Cortina GT engined and the second with a Corsair 2000 engine and the final one, a Jaguar beater (at the time), with a Ford V6 mated to the 2000 gearbox. all lowered and with wider wheels (8J's were big then) but still on the standard brakes (silly me :dontknow:).

All converted myself, but still nowhere near to the standards that this project has reached.

Good to see this lockdown is producing some results and anabling you to get both cars in order :sign0098:. Was always a pleasure to see you at track days. Keep up the good work and hopefully you will get some track time toward the end of the year. :icon_thumleft:

Not that my opinion counts for much but personal preference would be for the last as it appears on the pink car. i'm still just in awe at the standard of your work and the skill sets involved.

Time to work on the car today and a new job, all good :13:. Downside, new job means less time to work on the car :violent1:.

At last count there were ten confirmed cases in the whole of Essex :dontknow: (assume this includes Malcolm's daughter in law, a doctor :() but on the strength of this I may be confined to home for four month's :sign0085:. I am already tunnelling out in order to visit the seafront after dark :)).

But they did forsee this problem and to guard against it produced a very, very expensive stainless exhaust shroud that fit in the recess. Cannot remember for the life of me the cost of these but it was as all RX8 extras b****y exhorbitant. Ask me how I know. :smiley_confused1:
