Not sure about the Bose I have a standard Mazda Clarion R/C with CD. The plugs are just standard Mazda. You can get an adaptor to the ISO plugs in Halfords but its about £13 or Google for the RX wiring diagrams.

I ended up using Valvoline Turbo V 10W30 with a Blueprint filter I got in a local parts place.
Seems to run just fine and has hardly gone down at all after 450+ miles.

I\'m sure 10W40 would be OK too though especially with higher mileage.
Its the regular changes that are important I think.

I got mine started - after it had been sitting off road outside for 3-4 Years!
Ok it had been started 2 years ago too. What I was told was remove the EGI fuse to prevent flooding and turn it over a bit to get the oil up and about.

The only thing I had to do was charge the battery put new petrol in it as the stuff in it had went off. The tyres hadn\'t fared well either so its worth turning them every month or two and make sure they don\'t get flat.

 So 2 months should not be a problem!

Changed the oil and its running like a sweetie now.

Just for the record my American \'95 manual simply says (under Protecting Your Mazda/Turbocharger Information) :
"After driving  at freeway speeds or up a long hill, idle the engine at least 30 seconds to cool the turbo. Don\'t abruptly stop the engine after a hard or long drive."

As for the aircon fan thing, I assume this only works because the fans go on harder than needed to compensate for the extra heat generated by the aircon load on the engine? After all the stock computer will actually cut out the aircon automatically if the engine temp gets too high.

Does anybody know which is best for my FD?
It only has 12000 miles on it and is an American import. The manual says 10W30 (mineral only), but thats harder to get here. The last owner took it to a local Mazda dealer and they put in Shell Helix 10W30. Can\'t see that in the shops though.

I was going to put in Castrol GTX 10W40 after reading these forums, but could it be too thick (viscous) for a low miler?  :confused:

Also, any preferences for oil filters? The Halfords one doesn\'t seem any cheaper than one from the dealer (a few years back).
