This has now sold.

Should add with an intercooler, slightly bigger injectors this car is good for 250bhp based on comparable spec\'d MX5s. I took Martin from Speedline Imports who in it this morning who I think will testify its quicker enough right now with 200bhp.

I am selling  my 1997 Eunos Roadster VR Limited Combination B model, which is a JDM limited edition model in metallic British Racing Green with black leather seats and colour coded green speedo instrument dials.

I am only selling as have bought another old roadster I used to own and cannot keep all these cars.

The VR Limited came with the later uprated HP 1.8 engine, lightened flywheel and Torsen Limited Slip Diff.

The car was upgraded by a previous owner (Dave from the mx5nutz forum) and features the following improvements:

MP62 Supercharger.
Megasquirt Plug-N-Play ECU fitted and mapped by Matt at AFR Tuning (respected Tuner) at 198bhp.
Innovate Wideband air/fuel ratio tuning (need sorting as doesn\'t work, it doesn\'t effect engine performance, etc)
Walbro 255 uprated fuel pump
Duel fuel rail
Supra 320 injectors
S/S Fujitsubo performance manifold
HKS silent power stainless steel exhaust
New radiator fitted last year
Spec 2 1.8 clutch
IL Motorsports short shifter
Gaz coilovers set up for fast road set up by Wheels in Motion
Engine strut brace
Green mohair hood with heated rear window
300mm Momo Team style steering wheel
Rear lip spoiler
Aftermarket front tow hook
Aftertmarket rear tow hook
Car will come on standard alloys (not the bronze wats shown in the photos)
New door weather strips fitted
JDM folding sun visors fitted
Garage Vary Front Lip spoiler..

The car has done 146,500 kilometres (approximately 91,000 miles). The MoT is until April 2013, it is taxed until the end of October 2012 and it has was serviced in April 2012 by the MX-5 specialists Everything5 in Romford.

The bodywork is in good condition for its age, in my recent ownership I have had nearly all the panels resprayed to raise the standard of the car. This was professionally done by a local body shop I used.

It is very quick and handles nicely and in a predictable manner, it is good as a fast road car as would no doubt be good on track

The car is based in Crawley, West Sussex, near Gatwick Airport.

I am asking for £2395 for the car bearing in mind it needs some road tax end of October 2012.  I am only looking to sell the car whole and I\'m not interested in any part exchanges.

If anyone has any questions the PM me.

Cheers

James

Quote from: Dempo;820233cracking car you have there. Wa the bumper before a copy of the re one?

Yes mate, the bumper before was a replica. Got hold of a genuine version so fitted that instead as rest of the kit is genuine.

Thanks chaps, gradually getting this car how I want it. Jason and team at Super 7 have been really helpful in making it happen. Just now need to save some money for a decent clutch.

Been a while since I have updated anything and hope to make a few more meets this year then last year. Car has undergone quite a bit of work recently with Jason at Super 7who has done a lot of engine work. Now fitted is a freshly rebuilt half bridge port engine, uprated fueling system including swirl pot, Jason has also renewed all engine and ignition wiring as mine was showing the age of a nearly 20 year old car. While the work was also done got a genuine re amemiya bumper fitted, re amemiya AST, re amemiya steering wheel to complement the other parts. Here are some photos.

A work in progress at Super 7

A DM Motorsport Coil Pack relocation kit fitted.

A video of it running.

Car has been set up and running around 1200 rpm by Super 7 which is what I wanted. Super 7 also tidied up the engine bay, replaced alot of perished pipes along the way and removed the entire rats nest that was outstanding from before. Car at the moment is mapped to around 0.8 bar, would have made a lot more but I need to get a decent twin plate clutch as the paddle clutch I have is slipping at any more boost.

So time to stop spending, enjoy the car and save some money for a decent clutch and replacement hks twin power.

Thanks for looking.

James.

Looking good, Charlie had mentioned this on the phone before. Liking the seats!

Seems a real shame if you decide to break the car. What is the spec at the moment? Have you had it up for sale for long? If you do decide to break I\'d be interested in the clutch kit (dependent type) and the turbo kit.

I\'m running a heavily modified amemiya car myself where I\'ve gone through their catalogue that is getting near completion. Sadly I\'d probably be in the same shoes as you should I ever sell it as I\'d maximise my return that way.

If it\'s on I cannot make it as my car is off the road having some upgrades done.

Thanks for organising this today with your Dad. Hope your both enjoying your new mx5. Cheers james

Quote from: Ada7;811072From what i remember you turned up with a hangover, bumbled about for a bit then went off again :p

Yeh i\'m sure we can sort another one out in the spring. Maybe change the route a little to include the new hindhead tunnel which we been having fun in at the Guildford meets last year :D

Adam

Yeah wasn\'t my best way to introduce myself to the rotary community! Had my mate driving my car as wouldn\'t have made it otherwise.

Including the hindhead tunnel sounds a good idea. Want to try and attend a few more meets this year.

3rd generation RX-7's / My RE Amemiya Kitted Car Update

Quote from: Ka Kui;810361I love to red Spirit R seats.......

Yeah, I like them, have Martin from Speedline Imports to thank for them.

Plans for this coming week look scuppered as with the new coil overs fitted and re amemiya track rod ends was booked in for a alignment session. However with the snow last night and the fact they don\'t grit my local roads doesn\'t look like it will happen :(
