Thanks for your reply Clive,

Certainly it was very hard to bleed, the fluid was clear though.. probably best to flush the whole system through, well will have to, when I change the brake master.

Is there a place I can get a new/upgraded feed pipe?

The rx has been sitting for a while (quite a few months) waiting until all that nasty salt has disappeared.
Anyhoo...she started first time, purring lovely. All good I thought until I pressed the clutch pedal... it went right to the floor!

This has happened before, again, after a long time being idle. I bled the system and all is well again.:Thumbs-up

My question is, why would this happen? There are no leaks. Maybe time to replace the master, slave and the tatty feed pipe?? Want to replace the feed pipe anyway due to my 929 brake master cyl upgrade.:D

Had the car round Knockhill on Sunday with big bro in his! superb fun, need new brakes pads now thought:Giggle!!! I Think there are vids on youtube now.

What kind of controller have you got?? you may be able to get the instructions online. Alternatively, if you have a greddy profec b, I still have my instructions.

If you want, I can have a wee look before you spend any money?

Hey Col,

Does it judder or just die completey at full throttle?

Have you replaced the plugs recently?

Are you experiancing boost spike?

Try checking the boost sensing lines to the boost controller and to the wastegate.

See if that helps

You could try a bit of heat (blowtorch or other) on the flywheel whilst trying to pull/prise. Just be careful of melting seals, etc.

QuoteDoes your car need anything or have you got any plans for the car over the winter?

Still unsure what to do about brakes, going to do more reading about different manufacturers first I think. Do you run the standard master cylinder with the D2’s?

How often does Robin go too Knockhill, I was booked up for the last hot marques day but due to the rain it was cancelled. How does your car compare to Robin’s performance wise?

Rare to find a mini not requiring many weekends of welding lol What are your plans for the Mayfairlace? I haven’t actually seen Malc for weeks now, helped Euan fit a new clutch on his evo a couple of weeks back, nightmare of a job, 3 days in rain!

I have no real plans over the winter, just servicing and tyres. when back on the road i need to do a bit of body work..I also will hopefully be fitting a wideband afr meter..

I use the standard master cylinder but people have used the mazda 929 master cylinder, there are topics on here about it.

Last time rob was up was begining of August, before he got the slicks, have a we look:

http://www.youtube.com/user/HAGGISHUNTER007#p/u/3/f4ReLLYwd7s
my car has stiffer suspension and has a bit more power, but we have not gone side by side yet..:)

The wee mini will be my daily run about for a bit, until i save up some cash to buy something else...want an s type jag. I was quite suprised how little the mini required. in total i spent about a month of nights/ weekends sorting things out.

I have just seen the spec list of your gearbox, and to be honest i think you will be wanting ££££££, alot more than i will be able to justify. so i will prob just dig out one of the boxes i have and see it it can handle the power any better.hahahaa.

What are Euans plans for the evo, when i was there, he had the turbo off, malc said he was upgrading? also saw the hks shock....good lad!!

yeah, it is a long time and i do miss it... next spring is the time, so will do bits and bobs over the winter to bring it back.

Yeah its best to bet a whole load of opinions and take from that. i saw you mentioned HI Spec, i did a bit of research and only by other\'s opinions i left alone, plus they were more expensive. (bottom line at the time).

Robs is pushing 370bhp fly i think, but the turbo was restricting it. He uses it on knockhill only as its not moted or taxed (he has a trailer).

The new mini i got is an un molested L reg mini mayfair, mint condition (now). had to put a new front end on (steel) and a sill. I treated it to a full respray too.
I bought Malc\'s DTM exhaust, still to fit it. (hence, i found out you had a new rx)

Well done on winning the championship!!
If you are breaking your mini, first dibs on your gearbox. I managed to anhiliate mine on the turbo one after i rebuilt the engine (too much power.. and thats without nitrous).

where are you working at the mo?

yeah, im not to bad thanks.

The rx has been off the road since oct 08, due to wedding and other expenses but hope to have it back on the road in the spring. I do miss it. the micra and mg zr are just not cutting it.

When it comes to brakes, if you can, save up and get a decent set grex, brembo etc. For me, it was purely the price. That said i have no probs with the d2\'s. They are good brakes, but as discussed on the other thread you get what you pay for. The kit went together well and i have had no problems with them. I have had them round knockhill once and had little fade, although time after time round knockhill next year may be a different story. just have to wait and see.

Big bro has still got his yellow one and has had it mapped, although we found out the hotside of the turbo was too small and is restricting top end power....he has bought ex touring car slick for KH, so that should be fun.

Oh btw got another mini...hows yours?

hi Col,

how are you? I heard you had another rx. Looking Good!!

I have a d2 brake kit. They are good, but un-tested for longevity.
