I have used standard size drilled and grooved Black Diamond disc\'s all round and looked all good until my late braking on track came on form and cracks appeared around the holes on the front pair:Grrr. This was with just fast road pads (Soft) mind and not track pads (Hard) which you will find are needed to take the heat the front pads receive and the fact softer pads wear so fast under the strain off consistent hard braking. The rears though have stud up well even after a number of track days. It seems to me drilled disc\'s for FD\'s work well on the rear but will only stand up to fast road work on the front not the mighty work out they receive on the track. Grooved I believe to be a performance advantage on and off track, with the least amount of grooves though (more sweep area), multi groove I feel are more suited for dress up only. Dimples also fall into the dress up arena to, as I\'m under the impression  they are offered by producers due to the cracking problems with drilling, there for offering little in the way of a performance advantage.
