Cars for Sale / Fs: 2004 192 Rx-8
April 05, 2013, 09:55:56 AM
Hi all,

Just helping my brother sell his RX-8.  Advertised on PH as well but heres the detail of it.

Link

2004 Mazda RX8, 53k on the clock, usual spec on this car - air con, bose sound system etc, although has a unique blue black leather interior which i\'ve certainly never seen before on any RX8 - was a custom job requested by the 1 previous owner when they ordered it. I\'ve had this car just over 5 years and it has never let me down and given me much enjoyment, will be sad to see it go.

Car comes with full service history - it is due a service - but had 4 new tyres on in early January and has MOT until February 2014. Is also taxed until the end of August - last 12 month tax cost £270 which is considerably less than later models.

Only slight negatives on the car are that the alloys are in need of a bit of a refurb, and on the offside rear wing there is a slight mark on the paintwork from where some debris on the road hit me - see pictures. The mark is very slight though any wouldn\'t require much work - I simply haven\'t had time.

Please feel free to contact for any more info/pics.

£2,250

07021 533834

Reason for sale is his new car is being delivered in a month and he has no need for 2x motors.

The only thing I\'d add to it is to say that I\'d budget £180 to have 4x wheel referbs done from rimfurbish or the likes (drive in drive out service) as these really are scabby.

Thanks

Dave

Could do with this selling quickly now as have mortgage on single income and still have to pay personal loan on the rex, really need all the cash I can have.  If its still here near xmas then I\'m going to have to trade it in for some orrible 70mpg french thing :(

Thanks chap :)

I\'m sure the housing market will kickoff again at somepoint, the work I\'ve done to mine has added £13k in 8 months somehow, not complaining though :)

Quote from: deviltronics^^^ your miles away!

:) lol, I bought mine from about 300 miles away as well, must have looked at about 20 cars before settling on this one.

Distance is worth it if you get the car you want :)

Hi all,

Following on from this thread, I\'m dropping the price of my RX-7 down to £4800 :(

Louise and myself have gone our seperate ways and I\'m buying her out of the house, as a result the RX needs to be sold asap.  I\'m gutted on both counts but I guess this is just a car and real world/life issues have to get in the way.

Thanks

Dave

Very impressive figures, your car must absolutely fly :)

Its not a problem chap :)

As I say I\'m not in a hurry to sell, preferably I\'d like to not have to garage her again for the winter, as in I\'d like to have her sold before October/November.

I\'m hoping for some free time over the next month to have a look at the boost issue and get it sorted so that it\'ll all be 100%, I\'ve got to find the time to sort a full service and cambelt on my other car too, cars eh?

I do a 50 mile commute each way and hence the reason the rex is a weekend toy :)

Regarding the mods again, so long as its got the CAT a backbox/intake should be fine.  Without the CAT and no new ECU/Boost controller, you can get boost spikes and thats an absolute nono :(

Good luck with the job transfer and enjoy having a shufty around here.  There is a lot of good advise and nice folk :D

Nice looking Supra :)

£5k will put you in the middle of the road section for an FD, you\'ll either get a good body and interior with no rebuild (/proof of) or a rebuild with a standard body, unless you get really luck and get both.

I\'m currently selling mine at the second (here) and it falls into the first category.  It has a small boost leak but I\'ve still had some interest and a couple of the usual nobblers to boot as well :) - I\'m not in a huge hurry to sell so I can wait.

If you are buying, be sure to look at a few of them before setting your heart on and take them for a drive.  At the end of said drive, make sure you can start the car from hot again.

Regarding mods, so long as its not been fettled with too much without proper mapping it should be fine :)

Its probably worth checking to see if your charcoal canister is still there and also the little catchtank, if they are not then I doubt you need it :)
