Just found an app on DVLA website. It says 75 taxed and 262 sorned.Thats Mazda Rx7s from 1986-1991.but no breakdown of models. Also just curious as to how many sorned cars will ever see the road again. The howmany are left website just gives total no of rx7s.

I was thinking more in general terms .The ones members have or know about that are used or have a chance of ever seeing the road again. And a rough estimate of model ie egi /turbo/vert

2nd generation RX-7's / How many left

I know there was a similar thread about 10 years ago but just how many FC's are left. I have an S4 EGI and led to believe there aren't many left as turbo models were more popular.I read somewhere that there's only 50 fc's registered on the road in the UK

Hi there everyone my water pump is leaking.
Can anyone tell me if i can get a water pump repair kit
or if a pump of another car fits. Im in the motor trade
but two of my suppliers cant get the pump and i begrudge
paying over the odds because its rx7.I may consider 2nd hand
but obvious prob is it may not last but will give me chance to strip
and source parts for existing 1

2nd generation RX-7's / ABS problem?
June 07, 2010, 07:33:09 PM
Hi Tiddles
your problem sounds similar to a common rover problem i came accross
a couple of weeks ago when you cleaned the toothed rings did you make sure they werent cracked and poss loose, on the rover they corrode and crack and cause the kind of problem you describe

2nd generation RX-7's / heater
April 07, 2010, 10:16:34 PM
just a final update on this if it helps anyone in the future
finally got around to sorting this properly i also had a small water leak
i could hear motorised valve operating so i gave coolant system a
really good flush through using hose pipe and sent water in both
directions i mention this because the water ran clear one way
but got more sludge when i reversed the flow. I filled the system
and aded a sachet of c-lit the heater is now fantastic the difference was immediately noticeable and no leak just got to drain down again to add antifreeze

the matrix although im going to flush the cooling system anyway
and as an aside does the aircon pump not kick in if the system pressure is low
or is my pump us

Im having the same problem with my rx at first i thought it was a tickover adjustment fault and messed with the screw made things worse i read you have to put a jumper wire in a terminal block to sort this out but i cant find the block  its an 89 car which is a changeover year how do i tell if its a 88 spec on a 89 plate
