Hi Ben

The car is still available...

Hi Alex

To be honest I have been driving RX7s since 1992 and I was always able to spot a low compression due to issues starting RX7 cold or hot, rather cold if I remember correctly...had the pleasure with low compression I am afraid LOL
So I didn't have the need to test the compression since the engine was rebuilt by Carl, car has not been driven many miles and there is a limiter set up on the Apexi so you can not over rev the engine even if yo tried which in my opinion has been a great thing set up by Carl when they mapped the engine ...it really protects the engine I think

Forgot to mention - the car had an engine service just before Christmas at Hayward Rotary
Starts on the button, drives and sounds superb.  Driven only around 3/4 k a year for the past 2.5 years.  Its a weekend car...parked ether on the driveway or at the garage.

and again - Car has now a new MOT and also turbo pack replaced..PRICE DOWN TO 6.5 K

I might be selling my RX7 finally, very reluctant sale but I am treating my self to a 911 turbo or R8.  The new purchase is not dependant on the RX7 sale so I am not in a major rush so no silly offers please.
White FD 96 Jap import, 99 spec front and back, cheap road tax.
Engine rebuilt fewer than 10 k ago by RX7 God - Carl at Hayward Rotary.  Car is still running stock twin turbos.
Mods:
Apexi Power FC,  Momo steering wheel and gear knob.
Koyo radiator, Hard pipes, HKS suction kit, hard pulleys, BOV, braided clutch line, 17” wheels (not sure the make) Been told HKS exhaust system (not sure) De cat, air pump removed, custom build silencer â€" car sounds AWSOM
All rear suspension bushes have been changed to poly bushes within the last 6 to 9 months
Aftermarket puck clutch (Can’t remember what make) after market shocks
17”after market alloys â€" not sure what make.
Grooved and drilled discs.
The car just been serviced by Carl at Hayward rotary.  Will have 12 months MOT. ( Runs out in December )
Looking for 7 k
The car is a real heed turner, probably one of the nicer models you will ever see.

Hi All

It has been a while since I have posted a tread on here, I guess I have had no issue with the car until now:

I have 3 rg  generation tween turbo with nice supporting mods.  Recently when I step on it at lower revs,  occasionally I have loss of power, car seems to misfire and lots of backfiring at the back.  If I claim slowly to ay 4k revs and then step on it in any gear car behaves fine.  It only happens at around 2.5 k 3.5 k and only when I accelerate hard.  As I said if I accelerate moderately then step on it at say 4 k all is well?
Any ideas ? Spark plugs ?  Coil overs ? Ignition issue ?

I may have to take the car to Hayward Rotary..  Engine has only around 1k if not less on it since the rebuild...

Hi All
I have a 96 FD with 99 spec body stilling
My passenger’s side head pop up light does not come up but when I open the bonnet and lift the pop up light â€" it comes up.   I can also close it with the switch to the right of the steering column but it does not lift it up.  The drives side is fine
I must also mention that putting the light on wouldn’t lift the pop up light from the day I bought the car.  I always had to use that manual switch to lift them up then switch the lights on.
Any ideas what could have packed up and is this something I can try to fix my self?  I am not a mechanic but I am quite handy around the RX7 cars
Any thoughts would be welcomed

Michaelb
