very clean low mile car throughout in a very desirable colour.

~62k miles

bad bits and its a big one...

engine is having oil control issues.
it smokes at low rpm and coming off the overrun, so this is being sold as needing a rebuild soon. i have done 50 miles today in it and it doesn't smoke at all at high rpm, but coming off idle or coming off the overrun it smokes.

a basic rebuild would solve this, its just oil control seal failure. there is no knocking or power loss. it drives absolutely fine as long as you don't look behind you. i would happily jump in this and take it on a road trip tomorrow, id just pack a bottle of oil.

only other thing wrong is the ac isn't charged.

Quote from: clive on September 16, 2023, 06:33:29 PMThanks for the thoughts and offers, they are appreciated.

Necks OK today and I started my physio today by starting today by starting to strip the car  ;)

Not quite as bad as I thought and confined mainly to the head lamp braketery area.

The impact force was so great that it tore my battery box from its mounts and flipped the door catch to the locked position (so that's why we couldn't get the door open!).

Fortunately I still have the old spitter that will give me holes i can use to re-align the bent brackets.
Monday I will order a new wing so by the end of the week I can get the headlamp back in the correct position so the new nose cone will fit.
Sadly my new oil cooler has a hole in it so I have decided to try and save some money and see if my welder mate can sort it for now.

 :(

glad the cars back out again and it wasnt too hard to fix  :D

to make you feel better...
snap, kinda...

also it would be perfectly possible to have this pass a mot as long as you can get it through emissions. it DOES have a Cat on it.

and hundreds of hours of painstaking work

but it is NOT finished.

it runs, drives and the cooling system SHOULD work, but i have not driven it for any appreciable distance to check that since modifying it to resolve previous issues.

it needs some mapping work to sort the idle out (waaaay rich atm) and therefore it does stall when hot. it also has hot start issues if it has been idling for a long time as it fouls the plugs. if it wont hot start, if you immediately pull the plugs and clean them, it starts straight up.

the dash can link has not been finished. the dash has been checked by AIM and is fine, but i cant get it to talk. you have gps speed but no rpm or shift lights

the fuel gauge needs programming, it is wired in.

the cruise control is wired and set to the right an input, but not programmed.
the clutch and brake switches are wired but not configured.(only needed for cruise.)

there is more than £20k of parts in this. i stopped counting.

spares kit will come with the car for the right price
2 additional sets of wheels and tyres, one worn set of semi slicks, 1 nearly new set of full soft rally slicks
brembo front calipers in full working order, will requite freaky parts adapters to fit, and wheel spacers.
spare bumper, bonnet, doors and wings (not colour matched)
spare set of meister rear dampers and a full set of springs (different to what is fitted)

£20k or near offer. delivery avaliable.

these pics are the best i have at the moment and are from various stages of the build.

It's not finally mapped yet and I've asked pip to lower the redline so it's in the 450 range
