perfect thank you for that Jamie
will be more than close enough for me   most of the time 3 wheels are likely to be in the air careering around my track,
snowing like the clappers here in south birmingham too    not sure i will be able to get to workshop today if this continues, its at times like this i start to think i should be working on one of my 4wd projects lol
Oh no now ya done it!

You mentioned Birmingham.

Jon (boosted) already calls me "peeky blinders" even tho I have to keep reminding him I live in stourport not brum lol

Difficult for me to measure my 8 as my drive is gravel. But I still have my 3D cad models of all my subframe suspension pick up points from ground level if that helps ?

hello  boys
i had a bit of an enforced break  the workshop floor was needed for a real job and i was evicted while it was going on lol
still ive got my space back now  and pressing on, im setting up ride heights and need a couple of measurements off a standard RX8 sitting on level ground,  first one is the gap under the front subframe to the ground at the front edge by the steering rack ,  and the second is at the rear to some fixed point on the subframe so i can mimic it  ,  or  the diff input flange to the ground although thats a long way under to reach i guess

anyone ?

thanks andy

You tank the hole fuel pot out so internal reg and filter remain..that can be seperated to allow suction on bottom tank by lengthing with piece of alloy or suchlike. Electrical wires lenthen and pipe to outlet .
Tricky bit is cutting whole and welding on studs and making a gasket. Holes can be drilled for said studs on outside rim of fuel pot.

so you drilled new holes in the top flange of the pump and bolted it to tank ?  thats what i was wondering about or whether i had to use the screw down collar which would mean i had to make  up a new screw thread to weld onto tank

Yes you can it unclips and you can extend the pick up. Theres a syphon part you can junk. I did similiar in my alloy tank in my westfield.
