Oil service yesterday.
Also noticed that the air conditioning wasn't as cold as it should be, so I took it for an air con service, nice and cold again now... ready for winter.

Cars for Sale / 2000 RX7 Type RZ for Sale 1 of 175
August 31, 2016, 06:02:59 PM
For sale is my RX7 Type RZ, 1 of 175 ever made, and as far as I am aware the only one in the UK.
This car was imported through Torque GT after months of searching for a clean example, with only 40000 miles on the odometer from new, the car looks fresh from the factory.
Andrew from Jimmy’s RX7 said that it was the nicest RX7 he had driven.

The RX-7 Type RZ is a performance-enhanced limited edition version of the RX-7, Mazda’s rotary engine-powered sports car.
Type RZ is equipped with red custom full-bucket seats manufactured by Recaro, a custom suspension system manufactured by Bilstein, and custom aluminium wheels manufactured by BBS.
These and other enhancements reduce the overall weight of the Type RZ by approximately 10kg, improving handling and performance.
The Type RZ has a custom body in colour snow white pearl mica colour.
Only 175 units of this limited edition model were sold.

Notable differences are:
â€" Custom gun metallic coloured aluminium wheels manufactured by BBS
â€" Red carbon Kevlar Recaro bucket seats, adjustable tilt and slide.
â€" Custom dampers manufactured by Bilstein
â€" Custom red stitched steering wheel manufactured by Nardi
â€" Custom red stitched leather shift knob, stick shift boot, and parking brake lever boot
â€" Driver’s side kneepad
â€" Passenger side aluminium footrest board
â€" Rear storage box
â€" Custom body colour: snow white pearl mica.
â€" Xenon headlights.

The car itself wants for nothing, the runs and drives brilliantly.
Recently serviced including spark plugs, ignition leads, oil filter, oil, and a hybrid air filter.
Brand new tyres all round.
The bodywork is exceptional with only a few small stone chips that are barely visible.
The car was under-sealed and cavity filled upon arrival to the UK so it will remain rust free for years to come.
Starts hot and cold perfectly every time, and idles smoothly.
This is a link to the post Torque GT put up when they imported it: https://www.facebook.com/torquegt/photos/pcb.978298228891613/978295558891880/?type=3&theater

The only negative point of this car is that the driver’s side seat bolster has been repaired at some point and the repair is showing signs of wear.
The seats are also slightly sun damaged.

Reason for sale is that I am moving house and the money needs to be invested in this.
That said this isn’t a decision that I am happy about and I am not looking for a quick sale, and I would like the car to go to an enthusiast or collector.

Viewings are welcome

Feel free to ask any questions.

£24000

I have more photos from when it was in Japan if anyone would like them emailed across.

Hi Rich,

Sorry I'm replying so late, this forum is unusual to navigate compared to others that I've used.

I cannot remember the name of the specific garage in Japan that it came from, but if you talk to torque GT, the UK based company I used, they will be more than happy to help you import one with no stress!

Thanks guys!
I found it at a small rotary specialist garage in Japan and Torque GT sent a guy out to check it over for me.
I was looking at auction and nothing was coming up, so decided to look in the classifieds!
The Recaro's were a major selling point, can't wait to get her!

This is a great find! Can you post a link to the zeners that you used?

Hi all,

I have just managed to secure a 2000 RZ in Japan through Torque GT.
Wont be here for a few months, but I'm already excited!

The guy that took the photo's was no artist, but here's the best shot I have got.

Welcome to MRC John,

Good stock Spirit R's are now going up in value just about by the day and will continue to do so.

Currently you will need in the region of 23-24K due to the fact that the Japanese are now reluctant to let these go.

Personally I can recommend Miguel at Neweraparts.com indeed he is sourcing a car ATM for somebody I know.

Hope this helps

Cheers for the reply Clive, I have been in contact with Miguel, and currently Torque GT, just seeing whats going in Japan at the moment!

Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Who to use to import?
November 16, 2015, 10:55:43 PM
Hi all,

I'm looking at importing a low mileage RX7 FD3S. RZ, RS, or spirit r.

Question is, which importer do I use?

The three I've singled it down to are:
Torque GT
New era imports
Japaneseusedcars.com

I've heard lots of good things about all three, but would like people's opinions that have rotary's or have any knowledge of these importers.

Thanks all!
