Thanks Clive,

Super glue is holding it for now and I'll get back to you if need be. They seem rather brittle. What a difference changing the coils has made!

Thank you Casey,

I'm really annoyed about it as I've small hands and easily managed to get the coils out after taking off the resonator. Then I gave a tug on one of the hoses as I saw someone do in a video ::) I'm not sure if a repair attempt would be a good idea...

Oops, got a cracked Air Inlet Duct Elbow (FEMJ-13-758) and my Dealer's parts department isn't open till Monday. Does Mazda Rotary Parts have them somewhere? I'll try to bodge it up for now but there's a dodgy looking ad on eBay for them...

Attaching a few now. For some curious reason I don't have too many of our 8 and I've mislaid a number too. Had a camera fail at Brooklands (batteries) but RX8Head sent me some and I'm sure he wont mind me posting a resized one. There's one of it brand new on the forecourt, at Brooklands in '08, and at Hardknott Fort in the Lake District after snaking up the pass. Nearly burnt the clutch out on that one  :-[

coils

Dealer just quoted me £440 for a set. Think I'll wait for my membership card to come through  ;)
Japfest looks fun.

where abouts

We're in south Somerset not far from Dorset and Devon. Really like the Wiltshire heritage sites so often found driving around places like Avebury and Longleat. In fact I have a GoPro dashboard vid somewhere...

consider refurbing

That sounds like a really good option. I quite like the shape of the original wheels.
We might have met at a MRC/RX8OC meet. Someone had a rotary scooter there!

Hi there,

have a RX-8 from-new in '06 and thought it was time to join the club. About to purchase some coils etc so in it for the long haul  ;) We also have a MG and Vespa.
Back then we were looking for a sports car with character that could also take a family. Found it with the 8.

Met some of you at a Brooklands Museum event a few years ago when I was in the RX-8 Owners Club UK and probably passed loads of you over the years. We used to live in London and have family in Weybridge, Surrey.

Need new set of wheels really -- still on tatty OEM ones  ;D
