Quote from: C J R;883250Welcome to the strange world of FD ownership. Great looking FD.

Glad the guys were able to come round and help de flood. Sounds like the mods your doing should prevent accidental starting.

Keep us updated on progress.

Oh the joys of owning rotor I flooed the car Saturday night it\'s has a Clifford alarm that starts the car I was working on the car pulling all old electrics out of the car it had more switches than a bloody space ship lol.i lent forward with the key in my pocket and it started the car so i turned it straight off any this happen twice and flooded it :(.so I called my mate James willday and my other mate Wayne who came round and helped me de flood the car and she\'s running again :) the only reason I turned her off it was midnight and didn\'t want to upset the neighbours next time they can do one and the car stay running lol
Any way here some pics of the car with all the dash pulled apart

Hi all I thought I would start a project thread hopefully followed by lots of Pics. The car isn\'t going to be crazy as its mine and my mrs toy.
I had brought an evo and that was my project but that had to be sold off! I\'ve done a lot to that car as I bought the evo with a hangover lol...never look at a car with a hangover, it was a lemon! I poured my heart soul in to that car, but the day came when I put it up for sale. Watching it drive off down the street I felt empty inside and every day after work I was looking at cars in the hope of buying again one day in the future. However one night sitting on the sofa looking at a GT4 the Mrs was sat to my left looking over my shoulder and out of no where she said I want that car :) anyway with the green light to get another toy between us (as long as the Mrs sells her mr2). Anyway I decided to look at more than one type of car so I had a look at a gt4 toyota supra and an rx7!!!!
The Celica had sold and the other Celica wasn\'t healthy so I walked away. So last Saturday morning I went down to Bedford and had a look at this supra that I wasn\'t allowed to drive :/ the guy took me out but it needed way too much work and wouldn\'t budge on his price. The map was terrible, the guy showed the print out and the graph was up and down all over the place so I walked away from that one too. Still got high hopes for the Rex which the Mrs wasn\'t sure due to the wheels and their rep however it is her favourite jap car. It was now Saturday afternoon and we are on the way to see the in-laws do a sky dive, I just mentioned that as we should go down to Kent after and have a look at this Rex so the Mrs agreed and off we went :) To both our delight we turned up at the farm LC rotary and the car looked amazing just sat there. Don\'t get me wrong it needs some work but mainly some tlc, so we both test drove the car, got it up on the ramps to have a look underneath and that was it, we wanted to own an rx7. The best car I have ever driven, so much fun I have driven some amazing cars but the Rex is just something else :) any way a deposit of £1000 was left and we had to go back to Kent the next day the drive home was amazing
:wiggle:wiggle any way that\'s enough reading for now here are some pics of the Rex
Oh I forgot to say the car once belonged to sleepy dude off this forum

Quote from: samoht;883176That looks great - bright red paint (not pink), gold wheels, no spoiler - sits really nicely.

What\'s the spec?  Mechanically good condition?
Thank you no it\'s not pink the paint isn\'t very good I will have the car painted in a couple of years.
Yer love the wheels and no spoiler looks very clean like that I have taken the black tints  off tonight :)
As for the engine to what I know 2 apexi air filters and a 5 zigen exhaust withe a power FC.
