Hey guys.

I'm gauging interest to see if anyone would be interested in my very rare long discontinued HKS 4in titanium racing exhaust that i just sourced and bought from Japan.

Anyone who knows about this exhaust will know of it's capability for power gains. As a one piece straight through system with a massive 4in (102mm) diameter piping, this exhaust was designed for 800-1000hp range application. The system starts from the downpipe at a 3in (76mm) flange which then goes into a 4in (102mm) diameter high-luster polished SUS304 stainless steel piping.  It then utilises a slip-on/latch design to incorporate a 170mm lightweight titanium muffler with a 4.5in (115mm) tip onto the s/s piping. This is a LOUD system and strictly for OFF ROAD USE ONLY.

I sourced and got Jurgen from JM Imports to import this from Japan but atm change of plans means this is up for grabs. The exhaust is still at JM Imports as i havent got time to go get it so i've only got auction pics.

Also a nice pic of these systems when it was still in production and displayed on HKS stand at a TAS show.

As said this system is going to be loud... here is the original video of it.

Here is a clip of my friend Michael's which is a clearer sound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDn0TiFIUTM

It is a fantastic system and brings out the true beehive sound of the rotary.

I paid £900 for this delivered so im going to list it for £800 delivered within the UK.
This is listed elsewhere also so could be sold at any time.

As i am nightshift and dont have alot of time for forums these days, here is my contact number for any questions etc 07702 250903.

Thanks for viewing.

That could be an idea samoht.

I do fancy test fitting them so i can see how aggressive that fitment is before i decide what to do.

I also contemplated on buying 2 wheels of diff fitment but i probably be easier to sell these and find a staggered set...

I hear by running a staggered setup, it will improve on the handling and grip side of things.

I've seen rx7s running both all round fitments and staggered fitments.

Im not 100% certain on fitting the TEs yet... just looking for advice atm before i decide whether to run them or sell them.

HEY GUYSSS.... IM BACK

Well it has been a pretty interesting year since i last been on here.

As some will know, i was looking for an Rx7 last year just after summer.
Basically i had a small dilemma... i didnt 100% had a daily although i had access to another car so i wasnt sure if i would've needed to run my own car daily at times i.e to get to work and stuff so i wasnt sure if i was ready to get one.

In the end, i decided to stick to piston for now and got myself a gunmetal grey R32 GTR from JM Imports back in February this year.
It couldn't have been a better choice i picked. Looks wise was pretty stock but mechanical wise has a few Nismo bits. Got stuck in a bought a set of Enkei RPF1s, lowered it on BC coilovers and made it roar with a Tomei titanium decat and Expreme titanium exhaust.

I have thoroughly loved it but it's pretty much became a toy to me now as i have a daily and since the rotary itch came back again... i've finally bitten the bullet and im swapping the GTR for the 7 that i've been lusting for :D

I CANNOT WAIT to get it and become another rotary owner... my dream has come true. Guess this is the best xmas ill have to date haha ;D

Hey guys,

I've got a set of TE37s in GTR fitment and was wondering will it be ok to run on an Rx7?

They are 18x9.5 et12 with 265/35/18 tyres on atm.

Most say you need to run staggered setup on a rwd car but im sure i've seen some 7s running an all round fitment.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

L18M yeh i was very interested and did spoke to Brian about it but sadly was short of the asking price so Dan bet me to it... plus me being from Scotland meant i couldnt go view it either XD.

Not too gutted tho, i now have more time to save up further and still considering importing one. Dan you got a steal... enjoy it :P

I\'ve clocked this 7 a few times on ph and do remember when it was listed at £12k.
That would probs be really the reason it hasnt sold.

Imo location shouldn\'t be a reason to put a buyer off a car.
If it looks to be a well looked after, good condition car then the trip is worth doing if committed to buying what you want.

Yeh Teins are maybe your best shout Michael.
The Tein Flex was comfy on soft setting on your blue 7.

This one sounds promising for you, an updated version of Super Street.
I know Tein Super Street are perfect for day-to-day driving as my mate had a set on his Celica and the ride was set almost halfway from soft and it was still liveable.

Although not jap, heard good reviews for BC Racing coilovers.
BC BR series is generally the one people buy for street and circuit use.
Similar to Teins, they have pillowball top mounts and have about 30 way damping adjustment.

Quote from: Azzer_R;863256I\'m going to try and spend about 5-6k on one. If a single came up at that price I\'d go for it if not I\'m quite happy with a twin and doing the single conversion myself at some point. Main aim is it to pick one up that is near stock inside and out (cant beat factory styling) and a well looked after engine, preferably recently rebuilt but aslong as it has good compression. Any reliability mods all the better!

I\'m the exact same when im ready to hunt for 7 for myself.
Preferably stock with a good healthy engine but dont mind some mods.
Tho im looking to spend at least 6/7k as i want no less than a 1996... preferably a 98/99 for me.
Toying with the idea of possibly importing one when time comes as well.

Quote from: KaiserDamz;862038from Glasgow myself, not many rx7\'s around here, only seen two in the last few years.  Best to get one as stock as possible that way you can do everything yourself and know it\'s all good.

just as a warning, if you have any problems with it there isn\'t many places that know about rx7\'s, there is the garage in wishaw but i\'d avoid it like the plague.  Never had a good experience and neither have other people who have taken rotaries in that I know.

i\'d say you can take a look at mine but huge reduction in hours at work has meant not much work has been done on it recently.

Yeh that\'s the plan, get a standard one and start from scratch... that was i know what its been through and stuff.

Yeh i know of The Garage, seen a few 7s there. I\'ve never used them before, my mechanic is Andrew Baird of Automek in EK. Yeh i probs just go to Pip at WGT for certain work but in terms of BP i might even travel further down.

Your\'s isnt a black one is it?? Seen a black one at SCS few weeks back that i havent seen before.

Quote from: samoht;861957I\'d suggest thinking about what you want to use the car for, road and/or track and how much it\'s a tool to get from place to place, and how much it\'s a toy.

Then how much power you want, the standard twin turbos can be taken up to ~350hp, then people typically convert to a larger single turbo to go beyond that (but also because it\'s simpler).  If you\'re determined to get a 500hp car then that focuses your choice, similarly if you want something close to stock.

Finally budget, generally decent cars lie between £5k and £9k I think, depending on age, condition and state of tune.

Hi thanks for the advice.
Generally i want an all rounder... road and abit of track.
Nice aero kit (looks good but functional) and a liveable interior so not stripped. Well set up suspension for track and as for performance, anywhere in between 350-500hp is the goal. Fast and fun but not too extreme.

The 7 will be more of a toy, used every now and then but not daily.

Budget wise, im hoping to spend at least 6k. Ideally after a standard one... dont mind aesthetics/chassis mods but preferably the engine standard :)
