I decided to put my FD up for sale on Ebay. I received allot of interest in the car and managed to sell it no problems for the asking price.

It also turns out that the car dis not actually have an oil leak. I should have really looked at this more closely before advertising it. Regardless of how good the overall condition was or how well the car run\'s it will always put people off.

I have taken plenty of video footage of the car so I have something to look back on.

I am planning to buy another RX7 next year. looking for something very special next time.

OK, I have decided to put my RX7 back up for sale again. I have already started saving for modifications, and planned to get allot of work done to the car next year. But after giving it some serious thought I have decided to buy another very special FD preferably late spec that has already had all the work done to it. I have just sold some Bryston 7BSST amplifiers that I no longer used which actually sold for as much as I am asking for the car, so if I can sell my FD as well I will be well on the way to getting a good amount of money together.

I will be putting my car for sale on ebay and Pistonheads. It maybe that it is very hard to sell, there always seems to be the same RX7 for sale on there when you look, but I am open to sensible offers so we will see what happens.

I have a feeling that I will be driving down to see you again next year. I have come to realise that selling my car would be mistake. You told me the very same thing when I saw you last time. Getting such enjoyment using the FD at the moment, plus it runs and goes so well there is just nothing to touch it without spending serious money. The horror of fuel cost\'s are the only down side. Saying that I am just going to the Shell station now to put in another £50

Looking at your high flow turbo\'s,  Suspension and Bushings. Also small oil leek needs looking at again.

I also think that the market is bad at the moment, If you are in no rush to sell the car keep hold of it. I put my FD for sale on here to see if there was any interest, so far ZERO, Like Frankie3125 said running cost\'s are high, I spent over £600 this month on V power, but driving the car is so fantastic that you get addicted to the experience.

My advice would be to really think before letting this car go, If you need the money fair enough but I now realise that if I were to sell my FD I would never forgive myself, and I would not be able to replace it without spending considerably more.

For what it is worth I feel your asking price is fair, and I would certainly look at this car if I was buying an FD again.

Mr Hayward must have forgotten about the car.

I thought that the level of service was excellent, friendly atmosphere, excellent knowledgeable staff and a pleasure to deal with. Never felt more comfortable at any other garage.

I would hope that someone with knowledge about this type of car would be interested in buying it and realise that it is a very good example and runs beautifully.

Hello fellow rotary enthusiasts, I have decided to sell my RX7 and thought this would be the ideal place to generate some interest and find like minded people who can hopefully appreciate the vehicle and get word around that a good genuine car is available for sale.

I have owned this RX7 for approximately 13 years. I have always looked after and treated this car correctly since day one. The engine was rebuilt by W.G.T Auto Developments when I first bought the car, The vehicle has been well maintained and the oil has been changed every 500 to 1000 miles using only mineral oil. The only fuel that has been used is shell V power. It has never been driven on the track or drag strip and when I do unleash the car\'s performance it is always fully warmed up and allowed to cool down after use. I even leave the radiator fans running for 15 minutes after a drive. I have kept the car in a secure garage which has really helped keep it in great condition. I only use the car for the pleasure of motoring, not for commuting, so it does not spend any time sat in traffic getting hot, or starting and stopping all the time. The car likes to be on the go, most of my drives are in the evening when it is quiet, I also try to avoid going out when it is very hot outside or bad weather whenever possible.

Current mileage is approximately 74000 miles. A compression test was carried out by Hayward Rotary about 800 miles ago.

I think this is a good indication of how well the car has been cared for while I have owned it.  It is obvious when you hear the engine running and get onto the road just how beautifully it run\'s and how strong the performance is. Many parts have been replaced on the car over the years as part of general maintenance. The clutch and gearbox are strong, there are no problems changing gear, no funny noises from the diff or gearbox, the clutch is light and a pleasure to use, the gear shift is accurate and precise. The car is running standard twin turbo\'s which both perform as they should with no fluctuation or lack of boost. The car starts fine hot & cold.

The performance of this RX7 is very impressive it will get up to 160mph without any problems, and will also go past the 180mph mark on the speedometer. I am happy to demonstrate this to a potential owner but this would have to be done late night early morning with zero traffic around.

The car has been lightly modified to enhance performance and help cooling. All the original OEM parts for the car are included in the sale to convert it back to a standard FD if required. I also have replacement front suspension and two replacement standard alloy wheels which are also included.

A small oil leak was fixed by Hayward Rotary three years ago but about six month ago this oil leak has started again so would need to be addressed at some point by the new owner.

The following work has just been carried out. Oil changed, Fresh Coolant using demineralised water, NGK Spark Plugs, New Bosch S4 silver battery, Replaced the rear suspension.

I have the Japanese owners hand book and original service history. Lots of receipts for work carried out over the years. I am also including the RX7 performance handbook and Mazda\'s rotary engine sportscar books. I think these books would be nice for the new owner to read through so they are included in the sale.

I hope that there may be some people on this forum that can help me find the right owner for this car. I would be happy to keep hold of the car for life rather than give it away to cheaply, but as my interests have moved in other directions I feel that I am now ready to let the car go.
