S4 FC3S, 13b N/A.
It will have a bit of street porting done, other than that we will be running a pretty standard setup.

We want to use ITBs for our track car, but most people we talk about tell us its a pain in the arse.
The hardware setup should be pretty easy, and we have an adaptronic ECU laying around to control it, but can anyone tell me what else is there to think about?
We basicly dont want to blow up a freshly rebuilt engine.

I saw one like these for sale a few years back and it was on a black T2 then.
we bought that black FC without it, and always wanted to know where that thing went (assuming its the same one)

Thanks guys. Its been sitting in the garage for 3 years without us touching it, so we\'re really looking forward to starting it.

When I first bought the FC, I lowered it to the absolute max the same day, I liked the look of it, but didnt drive that well.
but the car is almost rust free, and an origional dutch car that has been saved from a scrapyard and all.
Damn , we need to move it over..

Well.. its been a while.. I sold the vert, so i can spend some time and moneyz on the Swift
The Swift is sort of finished now, so we\'ll move the FC to our garage and start working on it.
We collected a few bits already, so we have a lot of things we can do if we start.

Pictures will follow soon.

Thanks for the info!

Will we be able to drive to the track and back with PP or bridgeport?
Are the racing beat intake manifolds/carbs any good? We were looking at them earlier.

I\'ll be a little more specific about our doubts btw

What should we do with lubrication? Just premix? Or do you need to feed oil in the engine itself(apart from your usual oil of course)
Dtss eliminators nessescary?
Should we use the S4 n/a engine or the S5 T2 engine as base or use a little of both??
Wich seals should we use?

Do you need any of the engine loom if you\'re using the carbs/NA dizzy
What parts of your vacuum system can go and what do you really need for it to work.

Sorry for asking so much questions, but we need a little head start on this, and maybe someday wel\'ll figure things out ourselves ;)

Right now my mate and me both drive a Suzuki Swift gti, mine has a turbo, his hasnt.
I\'M constantly fixing stuff and improving stuff.. and he never does anything, his car runs brilliantly, while mine constantly needs fine tuning, remapping, cooling issues. And we both have the same amount of fun.

Thats why we settle for less power and go with NA, just to drive as often as possible, without issues.
We\'re going for carbs, and maybe get some porting templates for a streetport for some extra power, and do it with the power we have..

It might be a stupid question to some(or most), but I\'m asking it anyways.
We\'re starting our FC build soon, and we\'re not experienced with rotary engines, or the FC chassis.

What we have:
-\'89 LHD FC3S S4 NA chassis, complete, but stripped down, engine had low compression when we took the car apart
-\'91 RHD FC3S S5 TII, everything but the chassis itself.

What we want:
-Rebuild/build the engine ourselves, or at least most of it so we can learn how it\'s done
-Carb setup for simplicity(if we can get 200-250bhp out of it, it would be great.
-reliability
-balanced suspension-setup

So can anyone help us out with some basic tips?
The most important part is basically the engine, which engine to use to start with, how can we make it reliable enough to keep it running for hopefully a few years or so.

then the ugly question.. will it ever be reliable enough to compete with piston-engine reliability?

Hello fellow rotorheads!

My name is Jan, and I am from holland.

I own 2 FC\'s nowadays:

First my old S4 N/A, that will receive full S5 turboII running gear but the turbo will be removed for a RB carb setup..

Until the race-FC is done, I race a Suzuki Swift:
