Valuation on these cars seems to be an absolute minefield. This has ultimately put a downer on my Rotary experience over the years as you\'re met with frustration in getting people to realise a truly great example...and difficulty to part with money for a such a car.
My 2009 RX8 R3 had fantastic compression, low miles, perfect ignition with new 100B coil packs yet all you\'d ever get is people punting you in the balls price wise for your pride and joy. Finally got out of that and into arguably the best FC3C in the country again with fantastic service history, completely original to be met with huge difficulties when trying to sell.
All i would say is, pay what you are happy to part with for the best original example you can. But be absolutely prepared to fight your corner for it\'s value when you come to sell it. Car\'s from reputable folks like Newera will hold their money far better than most, but the rotary powered cars from Mazda still have this edge of mysticism and magic around them which makes them incredibly difficult to sell to anybody else but a rotary fanatic..
