Sadly my circumstances has changed :2Rolleyes and I am thinking of having to let go of my almost mint condition rare UK spec well cared for red T-Rex. Before I advertise it on Pistonheads and eBay I thought I test the feedback/interests from enthusiasts/members.

Some high res pictures photographed yesterday on my dropbox:

Full details on the car can be found here: http://www.RX7.eu/

I have a figure I would like which I doubt I will get; £8,500
But if someone turns up and waves £6,500 cash I may just hand over the keys reluctantly. Please no other offers as it owes me much more.
Rare domain name RX7.eu is negotiable.

Viewing is welcome but no test drivers please. I have nothing to hide and promise my car is all genuine, not track driven and drives beautifully without any known issues. Everything works as it should. MOT & TAX. Has insurance valuation certificate valid 2 years for £8,000 (before I put on the white pearlescent alloys).

Please PM any questions and your tel/email address. Car is in Wraysbury, Middlesex near Staines M25 Junction 14.

By the way, my Mercedes SLK is also available, has only 35,000 miles from new, all servicing records including original purchase receipt. Mint condition and garaged all it\'s life, 1 previous owner. With private SLK plate costing £2,000 and second set of original alloys with new winter tyres. I may let go for £7,000 minimum.

Thanks Clive, a picture of my car on the Fueltopia stand.

Thanks, I dont think I will be doing any matching parts like this to the engine. Well I want to but as I understand from the person I bought it from will not be doing another one so for time being I will just leave the engine bay as it for now.

Thank you, it took an artist almost a month to do. Whats nice is that its a one-off!

Sorry for late reply as I was busy last two weeks moving home etc!

Yes they are AVS.

I had a custom hand carved one-off plenum fitted to my t-rex on friday :)

It was professionally cleaned before being fitted so it is now shinier than this picture which was taken straight after the artist did the work.
(I will upload a picture of it in engine bay another day)

Decided to take my t-rex to the BHP Perfomance event in Canterbury Kent as I was offered a free space on the fueltopia stand. I know someone who is racing on the day.

Never been there and hope my wife & I enjoy the day :Thumbs-up

3rd generation RX-7's / 2nd drive and runs like s"&T

Sorry to hear the bad news.

I was with a white FD owner yesterday who unfortunately whilst at a rotory specialists having his brakes looked at one of the rotors went, they confirmed it needs rebuilding. It was rebuilt last year and fortunately still under warranty.

Hope you get yours fixed soon.

3rd generation RX-7's / Had my T-Rex dyno (stock ecu)

Okay okay guys,;) no need to assume or worry that I have a ticking time bomb as it has been professionally upgraded at the specialist garage and by a very well known engineer who has done this sort of work for well over 16 years.

And to help protect my investment, today I had the coolant system totally drained, flushed out with Evans Prep Fluid to remove all of the water right through and then filled with waterless engine coolant called Evans Power Cool 180 coolant, which is designed for performance cars.

For some this may seem expensive or unnecessart but it isn\'t really when one looks at how much money I have spent on the car so far. Again as said aleady its mainly I want to protect my investment! :cool

Anyway I paid around £100 for the power cool and the flush fluid was about £40 plus a little extra money for the labour, generally the garage needs the car for the day. (You could save a little money by doing it yourself but I wouldn\'t advise it as they need to drain from a number of hard to get to points).

Anyway I will be up at Santa Pod this saturday (in the hospitality suite) if anyone wants to say hello :wave

Had my car on a dyno yesterday (Mon 14 Feb 2012), car has stock ECU and light engine mods (intercooler, decat and k&n).

Seems impressive considering car is almost 20 years old churning out 293bhp.

There are a couple of small questions and concerns when reading the chart however the next logical thing I will do is buy an Apexi ECU and controller unit. Anyone have one for sale?

3rd generation RX-7's / Compression test results
February 09, 2012, 10:10:59 PM
Thanks, fully aware of the risks, guys have 30 years combined experiences and know what they are doing.

Was told its not unusual for compression reading differences as it can be due to a number of factors. Perhaps back in 2010 it had old or not so good oil whereas I recently had it changed twice in a space of 300 miles using the best mineral oil, plus adding a better air intake perhaps also contributed. I am not an expert in the whys here, perhaps someone who works on rotarys can contribute to the possibilities here? i do know the car was also stored a year before it came back to the uk and the owner then rarely used it plus was driven gently (slowly). Perhaps the engine rebuild around 9000 miles ago is also contributary, so perhaps it is only starting to run in and being run hard a few times over the last week has also helped.
