I just got quotes of between £325 no VAT & £399+VAT for supply and install of an Autowatch 457 RLi Cat 1 system.

Most installers I talked to would only do supply and fit.

Clifford concept 650 mk ii was circa £450

3rd generation RX-7's / could be a bargain

I\'m just about to come in to the market for an FD and from what I\'ve seen cars aren\'t selling too well. Alot of the ones gone through on Ebay etc aren\'t making a whole load of money and theres a few people on here who are struggling with insurance quotes :(

If a liquidator is selling it, then it should come un-encumberred as they\'re using it to pay off the debts, once sold the money gained is taken off the debts and the assett is removed from the list of things that the creditors can hold legal claim over, something that would be worth checking out and also getting a letter from the liquidator stating that the vehicle comes with no finance owing and no title held by any other parties ;)

You could also check this with an HPI check of course ;)

Insuring your rotary / RX7 at 19?
March 11, 2004, 02:30:37 PM
You won\'t get fully comp with third party on other peoples cars very easily either, most will stipulate that your 25+ in my experience.

Insurance companies are getting far stricter on what they will allow and give these days. Unless your absolutely loaded and willing to throw money at it then I\'d say your going to find it pretty hard to get insurance on a Gen3 RX7.

I drive under a motor traders policy and have had limited social domestic and pleasure usage, this will change when I\'m 25, so I\'ve started to save for a nice quick car and have my eyes set on a nice little rotary :D

One question tho, and that\'s how long have you been driving and what experience of driving do you have, as jumping straight into a quick car aint exactly a smart move, the chance to show off and impress your mates with a bit of power and not having enough road experience. Thats how insurer\'s are going to asses you with regards to the cost or whether they will insure you.
