Hey,

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, it\'s the outside handle. Looks like a piece of plastic has just snapped.

Could just do with a part number & fingers crossed it\'s not too hard to replace?!

Hi guys,

The handle has broken on my FD, drivers side. Does anyone know what part I need or where to get it from?

It\'s driving me mad having to open up from the passenger side every time I get in - please help!

Many thanks in advance,

General Technical / Pop-up Headlight Problem
June 10, 2009, 06:09:12 PM
An update...............

There is also a separate problem with my aerial not going up or down as it\'s stuck, which could be the source of the battery issue. Now I have 2 questions for anyone willing to lend some advice:

1) How can I disconnect the aeriel motor - which fuse etc?

2) How can I correct the headlamp that is stuck halfway?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

General Technical / Pop-up Headlight Problem
June 04, 2009, 09:51:09 PM
Hi,

One of my pop up headlights (FD) is stuck half way. It won\'t go eitehr up nor down when I switch on lights, press the up/down button....etc.

The battery was flat this morning, so I assume it was linked to this.

Any ideas?!?!

Many thanks

General Technical / Tuning / Servicing in Scotland??
March 30, 2009, 10:52:05 PM
Hi,

Just moved up to Aberdeenshire and am looking for somewhere to get the RX serviced, MOT\'s etc. Used to use WGT and although they are excellent, I\'d prefer to avoid a 12+ hour round trip (not to mention waiting time)!

I saw a white one on the A90 a few weeks ago so there must be some activity up here?!

Any recommendations most welcome.

It\'s all in the title.

It\'s currently my everyday car but I\'m relocating and will leave it at my parents house.

Would my Dad starting it up and going around the block each week suffice, if I am coming back every 4 weeks to use it for a weekend?

Thanks in advance.

PS - my Dad won\'t know what\'s hit him!! :3gears-rh

Awesome - thanks guys.

Just hope the roads don\'t shake my car to bits - I heard they are a bit brutal!?

Hi there,

Looks like I\'m relocating to Ireland, just outside of Dublin. I currently use WGT for all servicing & work & they are superb. It has made such a difference having someone good look after the car.

Does anyone know if there is a decent rotary specialist in Ireland, preferably near Dublin?

Thanks

Tailz

PS - what is the best way to get the motor out there?

General Technical / Going lighter....

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I\'m gonna take out the a/c as it doesn\'t work anyway. Does anyone have a \'how to\' that would be ok for a beginner like me to have a go at?

General Technical / Going lighter....

Hi,

I\'m still paying for my rebuild last year so I don\'t have much dollar to spend, but I still want to get faster.

I\'m thinking about the following ways to go lighter - if anyone has any hands-on experience or comments, I\'d love to hear them:

1 - take out air con (it doesn\'t work anyway). Can I do this myself easily?
2 - change seats to carbon fiber - any good makes or models?
3 - lose the carpet - just how hot does it get?!
4 - spare wheel to go

Thanks guys
