Sorry Guys, I\'ve been busy with work. The car is still at mine but I have a deposit now for the car. So all going well, I should have the full amount soon.

I\'m gutted now as I never wanted to sell. I just need the money.

I\'m going to get myself a really nice spirit R in the future when I\'m back in the black. Best car I\'ve ever had.

Throw it in as a deal sweatner when buying my car?

Scotty,
I\'ve just seen the price of your car. I\'m thinking I\'ve put mine up too cheap. Don\'t reduce it too soon. Shall we fix them at 5k?

Cars for Sale / S2000
August 31, 2013, 10:33:15 PM
Not sure there\'s a benefit as I hate soft tops, they don\'t work for me. I do like the S2000 though, it\'s a beautiful car. I got the wheels off a guy who had them fitted to one. You can send me some pictures if you want though.

This car is the perfect sports car for all round looks, value for money, uniqueness, performance and I\'d hopefully get another one like a spirit R in the future if I sold it. I\'ve been making up reasons to keep it for months but I really need the money right now.

Cars for Sale / Badge
August 31, 2013, 10:23:44 PM
I never noticed that! Someone\'s going to get a bollocking. I had a guy fit a replacement badge after it mysteriously went missing following parking it up in Manchester centre.

I\'ve just never noticed. I\'ll get it swapped round.

As far as I know, everything is original to the car other than parts I have replaced while maintaining the car. It basically lives in my garage.

We\'ve just had a baby who\'s now 7 months so I haven\'t had much chance to use it. The missus calls me selfish if I go out it in because I can\'t take everyone!

Cars for Sale / Mileage
August 31, 2013, 10:14:10 PM
Hi there,
The mileage is around 49k miles.
I\'ve had it around 3 and a half years and never raced or tracked it. I\'ve probably only done around 5000 miles.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Guys,

Red Efini RX7 1994 R2 - £4500

I\'ve ran into a temporary spot of bother with some bad investments and need to recover some cash sharpish. I\'d rather not sell as I\'d probably never find a car in the same condition again.

Red Efini RX7 1994 R2 is Stock other than the \'99 rear wing which in my opinion is much better than the normal one so therefore makes the car. I never got my head around justifying a modification to a perfect car so I left it as it but repaired and replaced it to as near factory as possible. So if you\'re after a modified car, this isn\'t the car.

I have also fitted the RE-Amemya boost guage on the steering wheel mount which is a nice addition as it matches the stock clocks.

I have had the engine rebuilt around 3-4000 miles ago at vast expense which included new engine plates etc. I personally spent 4 days replacing every vacuum pipe with red silicone and replace soleniods where required. I also replace various gaskets such as the air pump and other bits in the job. I then took it to WGT for a quick test where for a few fine tweaks to the restictor pills etc and it did just shy of 270bhp on very safe boost which I thought wasn\'t too bad considering it\'s stock.

I have the best wheels possible fitted to the car. Rays Volk ce28n\'s in black. i saw these in a magazine and search for a long time. these wheels are thousands new. I had some buddy club P1\'s which were rubbish and heavy so I wanted a good looking wheel that would provide more grip and better stance without adding weight so these really work well. The only issue is I have to send one off for a repair/refurb as it has a dented rim from not paying attention. I am planning to get this sorted ASAP. i use Iam Jemison Engineering in York, he does wheels for rally and DTM teams.

True to myself, i still have the stock wheels which are in great condition. no curbing, just the centre caps which can be resprayed easily.

Interior is all good. No scratches etc. i also had a new front windscreen in the proper orignal tinted bronze colour following a stone chip. I had to wait 3 months for the screen to arrive.

Spec:
Stock engine and turbos
\'99 spec rear wing - best natural wing for the car
Re-Amemya Steelring wheel mount Boost guage
Black Rays Volk CE28n wheels 17x8.5 et33 front and 17.9.5 et38 rear (see note on lip damage) with tyres 235/40 r17 and 255/35 r17 (rears will need replacing soon)
Full set of Stock wheels and tyres.
Spare rats nest with some solenoids.
Aftermarket exhaust - Apexi i think.
Cobra Cat 1 alarm / imobiliser

I also have a efini \'Y\' pipe which is the all metal version. i never got around to fitting this but have it complete.

Price: £4500

No offers, certainly no silly ones. I can always sell some guitars instead.

I can\'t seam to upload any images. The system asks for a URL???
Any help would be great.

For the moment, for photos, either email me at andym7897@gmail.com or pm me here.

I understand about the wastegate but I\'m looking for a quick solution such as exhaust restrictor or restrictor pill / manual adjust as I\'m happy with the stock power levels for the moment. I am going to tackle it this Satdy. If it doesn\'t work, then I\'ll have to look into more involved procedures as you suggest.

I will eventually be looking for some performance mods this year but not without understanding of what I need for my driving habits.

I thought the replacement restrictors that were inserted could be too small especially with the hi-flow CAT and free flow muffler.
I\'ve had a look at porting the wastegate and I know it\'s the answer but it looks a right ball ache!...

Quote from: m1tch;815829Get the wastegates on the turbo ported so it doesn\'t boost creap then.

Just to update you, Changed all the rats nest pipework. I had the car to WGT who sorted everything out. Had a broken air temperature sensor reading air temp below 200 degrees C so was throwing too much fuel in on low rpm plus other issues, solenoids etc and a collapsed CAT which was replaced with cheap hi-flow model. All sorted with good bhp and torque figures. Now it\'s boost creaping due to the hi-flow cat so may have to adjust the restrictor pills or exhaust to sort it out. Back to WGT at some stage.

General Technical / Apexi PFC - Car Insurance
March 12, 2012, 02:44:04 PM
Hey,
I\'m probably going to have to get an apexi pfc soon for my \'stock car\' (apart from wheels and suspension) and was wondering what is the general mood with insurance companies on aftermarket ecu\'s? Not a problem at moment as I insure it seperately but I am going to have to get a multicar policy when it runs out in a couple of months and if it\'s limited to a couple of brokers, I\'ll be at their mercy...
Cheers.
