well rang up air fix and got my engine in a box lol so let the rebuild begin, after speaking to clive at mazdarotaryparts (top bloke mega handy) got the news on the cost of the parts :( £560 odd for all the seals bearings and counter balance weight (for the lightened flywheel i havent got yet) and that doesnt count all the rest of the stuff i need to get her running what i want i.e twin plate cluth, porting turbo rebuild etc. also got a pic of one of the tips that decided to brake, such a little part can cause so much hasstle :(

engine is all stripped now ...... turns out it was 2 tips on the rear rotor had chipped  luckily (in  way) the bits went straight out the exhaust port so all  the housings are fine BUT what goes out the exhaust port tends to end up  at the turbo gotta check tomorow as the cars at work. Will get some pics up tomorow

Well were do i start, had my rex for about a month now and was loving every min of it until ....... i took her to santa pod. after 2 runs the best being a 12.59 at 118mph (not bad considering i dont really know the car) i thought i would give her a rest, on the way home had an audi up my ar** and to show hes not worth it put my foot down, upon doing so my car spluttered and chucked out some black smoke and gained a miss fire :( and with some investigation found it had done a seal. now correct me if im wrong but i found a car with some engine mods and a recent rebuild (no proof though) in the interest of this not happening and spending money on the rest of the car untill she needed a rebuild, how wrong was i, in the interest of saving money and being a mechanic im going to man up and rebuild it myself.

So here she is in th first part of being rebuilt, the aim after the rebuild is to hit 400/450 bhp all going to plan.
