A rather cynical opinion there. Without getting into a which tuner to go to argument, I\'ve never had an issue with WGT, everything has been done, at least,to my satisfaction. They have always gone above and beyond for me. You can check out the various company reviews on FDUK for example, WGT is overwhelmingly recommended.

Im running the black car this year its around 450 bhp full cage very good swift suspension, alot of lightening with plastic windows, frp hatch etc stripped loom digi dash,brembo brakes, not a road car anymore really.
budget wise the series is around 1500 to enter and then with fuel to get there and for car plus staying food and consumables its got be over 500 a round. Its not cheap but why build a car capable if you dont use it!

Does £3k seem a reasonable price to pay an importer?

But there are less parts....so wouldn\'t it balance out? :3Confused
 
e.g.
no £2.5k cylinder head to tune
no camshaft
no timing belt
only 2 "pistons"

So most of the "£9k bills" are actually £9k on bits making it faster/look better/go round corners :Giggle

Also I suppose people only post up when they are annoyed with a big bill, not when things are running smoothly!
 
I\'m going to be looking for a proper "keeper" weekend toy, so if it needs a full rebuild then thats not really a problem, just as long as it\'s not a continual money pit of parts breaking every year!

I’ve read a lot of threads on here whilst I’ve been doing a bit of research on buying an FD, although I do fancy buying an RX-7 I’m not 100% set on what to get for my next project!

 
A reoccurring topic seems to be “£9000 of bills in the last year not including buying it or running it”

 
I was wondering if those of you in a similar position would mind sharing what you’ve spent a lot of wonga on whilst owning your rex?

 
I’m kind of in two minds, I don’t know whether to hold out and buy a minter for £10k, or buy a heap and rebuild the lot!
