Personally i think the 1932 Model B is a much better looking car than the Model A and i prefer the Coupe to the Roadster. Also, if im being picky i dont like the yellow chassis/suspension... oh, and judging by the video its far too quiet (eh Carl?)... but its still pretty tasty and its good to see its already been done. It seems this one is in Australia, whos gonna be first to put one together in the UK?

Rotary Motorbikes / Norton F1 - more power please
January 07, 2007, 02:18:16 AM
If you could afford a UAV engine then you could probably afford something like a Quaife gearbox as well.
A cheaper option might be to find a modernish production bike that uses a seperate gearbox...erm...dunno, is the...no...or...erm... cant think of one right now!

P.S. Re: My \'Masterplan\' (a couple of posts previous), ive been advised by three of the top Norton Rotary experts that it would be very \'risky\'. It seems the oil supply to the mains bearings on the air cooled bikes is only just adequate and an increase in power output could show up its weaknesses. They all advise that it is strongly recommended that the oil feed is \'reversed\'... Oh Well, back to the drawing board :Hammer

If you watch it to the end you will see the car being driven up and down a Russian Dual-Carriageway. I think the wankel may have been retro fitted though, it seems to belong to a company who are in to rotaries. Another video from them on You Tube shows their stand at a car show with a couple of FD\'s on display.
