Cars for Sale / 1996 RX7 FD3s

MOT 12 months
TAX 6 months

I have owned this car for the past 5 years, it was bought on a whim, and needless to say I should of done my homework on these things before I bought it. It turned out that a seal had gone in the engine block. So it has been an on going project over the years. It\'s only been on the road for less that 10 months in the time that I\'ve own it.

The engine was rebuilt in 2012-13 by a Ian Duncan (rotarhead on here I think), local guy that used to hill sprint with his FC for the past decade. Everything was put back together and put back in and running by The Garage in Motherwell. Obviously since the rebuild was done as a homer there is no warranty on the engine however i do have a slip of paper stating the pressure that Ian had tested it to once he had built it.

The car came with no history at all, so I\'ve kept everything that I\'ve bought and done to the car on file.

The car:

Full rebuild with OEM seals, gaskets and tips approx 5000 miles on it.

HSD adjustable coil overs 5000 miles on them

18" x 9" rear 18" x 8.5" front Volk racing alloys wrapped in yokohama\'s

Apexi ecu and controller (the only ECU for rotary\'s) running base map.

New brake pads all round

Oil pressure gauge

Oil temp gauge

I have a boost gauge and Water temp gauge but haven\'t plugged them in yet (see pics)

Uras monkey magic side skirts

Garage Foresight Front Bumper (it was the first one in the uk last year, don\'t know now)

Unknown rear bumper

Carbon fiber bonnet

HKS filters

Still got the CAT installed

Unknown exhaust

Twin oil coolers

De-spoilered

SFS radiator hoses

HEL braided brake and clutch lines

ACT 6 Puck Clutch

URAS carbon backed front side lights (one cracked)

There are many spares that will be going with the car. Including a lot of engine components, minus the seal set, tips and gaskets, possibly enough engine bits for a rebuild. (Pictures can be sent)

Good points:
Freshly re-sprayed
Alloys acid dipped
Engine, Clutch, brake pads, suspension only 5000miles

Bad points:
No warrenty on the engine nor compression tested
Rev counter is a bit tempermental, either works or it doesnt. (Apexi commander (ECU) gives a Rev display
Only drivers side Headlight pop up works (they can be manualy put up, hence how it passed an MOT)
One cracked front side light (i have replacements tho)

I\'m looking for £7,000 o.n.o

I\'m really looking for cash only, as I\'m getting my brothers car at the end of September, but I am open to offers. Preferably something diesel and german (i.e. reliable) if part exchanging, I can arrange delivery at buyer expense.

I have probably missed some things, so hit me with any questions.

The car is advertised elsewhere so I have the right to remove at anytime.

Thanks for looking

How\'s it going guys?! Haven\'t been on here for ages! Tried to find my build thread to up date it but couldn\'t find it.

Just to say, over the last few months I found my second wind and got my FD on the road!

A few things still to do and sort, but I\'m loving driving it even though I\'m still running the engine in. :driving

Quote from: brodierx7;731651Realy close to buying a set of Hsds! how did you get on with yours?:chat

Have been bit delayed with weather work etc to get the car running. So haven\'t tried them out yet.

In reference to how low they go and how easy they are to fit:

This is pics when I was messing about, his is as low i got without tyre touching arch, and this has still got 2.5" of thread left!

Really easy to fit too!

if you can hold on till the end of the month and i can report back on HSD coilovers that i bought from driftworks.

My mates that have used them have nothing but good thing to say about them.

Fully adjustable in both height and dampening for...what I think is a very good price!
