Mir,
Thank you s much for all of the extra effort you put into answering my question. I found it all very interesting and I\'m sure others will have also done so.

Cheers

I agree with Grinder... I thought I\'d upset Rotormotor for a moment , until I read Bretts contribution.

Thanks to Arnie and Mir for the helpful info, looks like I\'ll be changing water and antifreeze soon :yes

Cheers Al.

Hi,

I just noticed from a welcome message that Mir made today,  that a regular water change is beneficial for our lovely rotaries. I know about topping up with distilled water but not much more.
So I\'d really appreciate any guidance regarding water change frequency and where to find the drain plug??

Cheers, Al.

General Technical / 15w/40 oil

Thanks Clive, I change it often anyway so might well use it as a top up oil, so it gets mixed with whatever is in there on the day.

General Technical / 15w/40 oil
July 13, 2012, 04:01:51 PM
Hi, I\'ve been given some 15w/40 mineral oil. Is it ok to use this in my FD please?

I ask as I see it normally is 10w/40.

Cheers Al.  :cheers

Hi Dragun
Not the cheapest but certainly one of the best custom pipe benders I am recommending through experience are:
Pipecraft, down here at Lancing, West Sussex.
Pipecraft.co.uk I think ?

Hi, I\'m looking for a pristine front lip for my \'99. A long shot I know but worth asking anyway......... the one I have has been badly marked by it\'s previous owner, who I imagine parked by ear !!

Due to a family bereavment ( my Mum ) we will not be able to attend Brooklands this year. It\'s a great venue and all who attend will have a great time, I\'m sure. Looking forward to the photo\'s.

I have a 94 Mk1 MX5 gathering cobwebs. Minor mods, ...quad headlights, style bars, stainless cat back, Wolferace wheels, near new Toyo tyres.
Reliable and low mileage for it\'s age. Could be up for sale.

3rd generation RX-7's / What\'s special edition
July 06, 2011, 11:43:38 PM
Mine is a 99 RB special edition :(

Jit is right, small brakes , small wheels and one oil cooler,  lower power... 99 wing thrown in as a sweetener (not sure about that as the front is different too ? )..... definatly a sub standard machine

But do you know what ?  I love it to bits. :InLove  Unless you really want to get involved with the \'numbers\' game  i.e. mine has a xyz more power than yours etc
then buy it. You will appreciate that you are driving one of the prettiest cars ever made, with superb handling and a head turning car even when stock.

I would agree though, that bigger brakes may have very useful  during some of my more mis-judged moments. ;)

I have seats in mine and agree with Pantera Chris. Unless you are not very tall and can keep the front seats well forward,  I would say his comment about having no legs is very apt. I suppose that fitting child seats somehow is a possibility but with little headroom adapted bins ( for legs to dangle in ?) could be a possibility.
I\'m no expert, someone on here may well tell you different
