Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Debut Novel Finally Out!!!
November 25, 2013, 08:38:51 PM
Part two dives straight in where one left off and is just as difficult to put down.  Another great job Gurj. :Thumbs-up

But that\'s a nice little cliffhanger you\'ve got going on there!!!  Have to have part three now!  :Thumbsup!

Items For Sale / Breaking 2 x 1992 rx7s
September 11, 2011, 10:57:07 PM
Hi, Do you have all the brake calipers and what condition are they in?
#5
Ah, I wasn\'t sure if that was the case or not - good info, thanks.

I\'ve got the 16s so I\'d need to go smaller then.  Seen the AtomicRex 325 kits which I\'m guessing are too big and the K-Sport 304mm kits from Silverstone Autosport which may be one of the best options for these wheels.

Hi,

What are the biggest brakes you can fit under the standard OEM FD wheels?  Has anyone got the internal profile dimensions of the standard wheels to compare with the brake company diagrams please?

Thanks,
JT

Was It You I Spotted? / Grey RX8 on M40

Know it\'s a long shot as RX8s are so common these days! :flamed

Grey RX8 going into London on the M40 earlier this evening.  Noticed the great sounding exhaust as I was coming off onto the M25. :)

Was It You I Spotted? / White FD in Warlingham

Spotted a good looking and nice sounding white FD in Warlingham earlier this evening.  Was in standard looking UK FD and waved but don\'t think you saw me.  You had just come off the triangular roundabout there.

Ah, cool, that matches what I\'d read here: http://www.tintedwindows.co.uk/ which is quite a good site as it does give the legalities and have simulated tint examples too.

Bit sad they were going to write up the windscreen when it was factory!  Did they tell you what percentage the factory screen let through after taking the reading?

Out of interest I believe the tint rules are set on percentage of light that passes through - how did the police check this?  Is it some sort of device they carry like a breatherliser(sp) ?

Been looking at these so would be good to get feedback from someone who has driven them.  Can you find out why they only do a 30 day warranty?

According to the information about the chrome mini that made all the news a while back it was purely for the noticeability of scratches and so risk of a tonne of claims for new work that made insurance companies not want to touch it.  It was real chrome though.

No article said the actual idea/concept of a shiny car is illegal and one article thought it likely that specialist insurers would insure chrome cars - as evidenced above.

It does look lovely from any angle and up close too :)

You mean it\'ll hurt our eyes seconds before the bump/squish/ooops! :p :)

Looks good.  Guess you haven\'t had any of the issues the chome mini had with insurance then.
