General Technical / Need a bit of help

Hello guys :)

Ok im in need of advice, iv been living in oz the last 4 years and had my 92 rx7 started regulary enough except for the last 8 months, it was put into storage, ive been home the last 3 months and my attempts of getting it started have been futile.. I first tried to get it going last xmas but i think i flooded it, i used the deflooding technique but still nothing, i hadnt the time to dry the plugs.. So 4 weeks ago i went down armed with new plugs, oil and a new battery, when i drained the oil there was a good bit of petrol in it.. Stank of it , and the plugs were soaked when i removed them, so put in new ones and new oil, connected up the battery and it started first time, way hey! .. One problem though it sounded rough and wouldnt stay running unless i had my foot on the gas.. So i kept it going till it warmed up, it was kicking out black smoke, still when it warmed it wouldnt hold its idle, so i went back down 2 weeks ago and it started first time again but still sounded rough.. And when it died i couldnt restart it for love nor money.. Its getting spark, it stinks of fuel so maybe compression? It sounds fine when i turn the ignition just doesnt kick in..

Im hoping its not compression hopefully something simple,
car had a full rebuild in 2009 but only has 8ks on it since,

Any advice be greatly appreciated

Thanks

General Technical / urgent electrical help!!
October 24, 2009, 06:38:26 PM
hey guys. bit of a problem here. im due to drive over to carl haywards tomorrow night, my satnav is a must but because im driving trough the middle of the night and its near winter i bought an in car heater (160w) because iv no heater matrix, so i had the heater running for about ten mins till it died, so i thought id blown the fuse, checked all fuses on the internal board and there all fine, im still getting no power at my cigarette lighter, which i need for the satnav, i know the fuse for it is 15a, and the heater was only pulling around 13.3A, but it suddenly stopped working,

any ideas????
