Quote from: SiH;717351You won\'t have to drain the oil dude - some will come out but you\'ll be fine.
I may have an OMP in my loft from a 45k car if that\'s any good to you? I\'ve also got a new O-ring I don\'t need.

hi,
do you still have the omp? if so how much was you after and how soon could you post it out?

cheers

Hi, I assume you have to drain the oil to fit a replacement omp, but should I drain the coolant too? So I can remove hosses that might be in the way? Any other tips would really help,
cheers

thanks for your reply, yeah its definatly the metering pump (vmop) i\'ve got to find a way of sorting it out, i dont mind doing it myself but i normally just search on here or google it and i can find a step by step how to guide but i\'m having trouble with this one! i dont really know how much i\'d pick one up for? or if the seal/gasket is a dealer only part?

Hi, after getting a commander for my ecu it turns out my heat light flashing is a fault with my OMP.
has anyone replced this and how bigger job is it? i dont want to go down the premix route so a replacement it is! my cars a single turbo with no air pump so would this make it easier? would i need to replace any gaskets and where would i look for a good second hand omp??:3Confused
thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply! I would be very interested if it fits my car, it\'s a 94 type r so I\'m not to sure without checking the numbers on my power fc! What year car did it come off? And how much would you want for it?
My lights is on for 2 second intervals from the second I start the engine till I turn it off??
Thanks again!

Hi
I\'ve had my 94 FD for 2 years now and has a fault thats starting to get to me! basically its a single turbo running a power fc but i have no commander. the heat light flashes 2 seconds on seconds off from the second i turn the key but the car drives faultlessly! i\'ve contacted pip WGT who built the engine (not in my ownership) and he\'s advised me to hook it up to a commander as a sensor is failing it the commander will tell me what one so i can replace it.
has anyone in essex or near it got a commander who would be willing to meet up and see whats going on with it?
any help would be great.:god
thanks

when i bought it!

i went for a mazda 99 spec front and back end, feed style carbon side skirts, carbon rear diffuser, new exhaust and lowered it some more!

then it went to pip for a full service, boost raised and session on the dyno and some new rubber all round!

then i did this!

doing this

but all fixed now with a new diff! i only use it about once a month but it never fails to impress me!

if its in good condition thats still a good price even if the engine is shafted! admittedly it dont sound good but i\'d still check the stat for the sake of 10 minutes, if its isnt working, its going to boil over! you never know your luck! water seal is unfortunatly a full rebuild!

i\'m no expert but it could be a block rador a dead stat! or it could be water seal failure, (hopefully not!)
