Where can I buy an aluminium water pump pulley in the UK? Just the wp only, not the other ones.

WGT Auto developments converted my MX5 to rotary (RX8 engine).

an MX5 is rear wheel drive.

a rotary would make a good transverse engine because of it\'s compact size, but mating a transmission to it would be an utter ballache. the easiest way would to be to find a longitudal gearbox, but then you\'ll have packaging issues on anything with a short bonnet.

basically, stupid amounts of money.

will you swap for a packet of M&Ms?

Get a torrent for Final Cut Pro, very easy and incredibly powerful video editing.

GoPro has an auto white balance thing you can set, it\'s in the menu somewhere. One setting works better for out of doors another for inside.

Not a problem! i\'m going to make some heavy duty clamps for my mics and i\'ve got a cage mount for the GoPro.

Forgetting the RX-8 doesn\'t have a rear strut bar like the FD has... Will be able to work something out.

Jackaleks, in case you were unaware, Brands Hatch will only allow cameras that have fixed mounts, no sucker mounts allowed, no matter how good they are. Just didn\'t want you to waste your time if you were unaware and planning on using any sucker mounts.

When do you need to do this?  And what is it for?  And do you care which type of rotary or what state of tune it\'s in?  My car\'s being serviced right now, but I could possibly help (although there\'s probably someone nearer you)

Basically it\'s for my final year degree project; the basic idea is to mic up a car, video it then mix the whole lot in surround sound. Ideally i\'d like to record an FD, but i\'m not too fussy and all opportunities to do some recording are worth the experience alone. I would use my own FD, were it not in the middle of the most penny pinched single conversion ever...

Also if anyone in Kent/Essex/Surrey would let me mic up their car for a night time motorway run i\'ll pay for any petrol used

Basically, I need to attach a microphone and a camera to a car and record a few laps. Nothing on the bodywork, a couple of mics in the cabin is all!

well, a banning was the wrong way to go about it.

Call Me Dave is doing his best to clean up the intarwebz, we could have just asked him to sort it out so that we have to ask our ISP to see Nick\'s posts. that way, anyone whose dainty sensibilities could maybe be offended by some nasty letters on a computer screen would be able to continue to live their lives. i mean, why stop there? let\'s get Davey Babey to make BT tint the whole internet pink!
