General Technical / spark plugs..... what do you use
October 13, 2008, 03:51:34 AM
Try sparkplugs.co.uk, they are usually the cheapest and deliver uber quick from experience. Note that there are BUR9EQ and BUR9EQP, the latter being the more expensive platinum variety.

Anything Engine/Performance/Tuning related / Turbos

Quote from: Dr-Rotor;541139As said before its only numbers....trap speed seams to be a more respected indication of power.
Yup. Even with crap tyres, bad launch etc, you should still still high terminal speeds if you really ahve the hp.

Quote from: Dr-Rotor;540423I did a while back when we were in the early stages of tuneing my car, There was no WI and I was useing a plain 98 fuel, We had a miss at 15psi so I just ran 13psi, Old Eagel F1 tyres 255, full interior, full tank...wheel spin 1st, 2nd hooked up in 3rd & 4th clocked 187kph and 12.9 and wooped a 600hp GTR that ran a 12.4 how the fu*k that happen I have no idea.
What trap speed did you see?

3rd generation RX-7's / Is my car special ?

Quote from: Nik da Greek;538306I agree though, that were it an RZ, it\'d be obvious. Cos it\'d say so, for a start!
Indeed, and it would have kevlar shelled recaros, bbm 17" rims, bilstein shocks and the bigger disks, which give it away ;p

Hmm, what FDs dont have an LSD?

Had FC and FD screens supplied/replaced for under 200 quid all in.

As for remove/refit, I had my FDs screen removed by the local autoglass for 25 quid, but they will make it clear that if it cracks when they do it, its tough ****. Guys that did mine were careful and it came out with a nick.

Quote from: m1tch;529503If you check on streetfire, there is a video of an FC with a turboed 20B reving to 16k lol :)
Which will last for about 3 seconds unless you are very lucky :D The N/As racing in the southern hemisphere manage to squeeze 13K or so, but thats still **really** pushing it, and with as much trick internal work as you can envisage.

Few guys going from FD:UK Tony, see you there as usual :)

2nd generation RX-7's / My dyno run @ RotorStock 5
August 12, 2008, 07:24:52 PM
For \'quite high\' I would read \'rebuild waiting to happen\'. 14:1 anywhere but on cruise on a turbo charged rotary is asking for apex seals to leave rotor housings at their earliest opportunity.

Quote from: Prof;523702I don\'t think it\'s lean though.
14.5:1 around peak torque isnt lean on a turbo charged rotor at 14psi?

Quote from: hairyhoover;523207It came on a car built and sold by reworx............
Take my word for it when i tell u that intercooler was not fitted by RE:Worx. The car was converted to single turbo by RX Motors.
