Liam,i,m doing ok thankyou, pleased to hear your making progress with the wheels even if i did think you wanted to cut them up lol,the contrast between the black and red may make the dish stand out more and apear deeper?

I never use my turbo timer as i have the same deal as grinder,it said i had to leave the car running for 20 minutes!!!!!!!so dont bother with it,just drive off boost for a few minutes before shutdown,if its a hot day or i am more paranoid than usual i shut off the engine but leave the turbo timer run the a/c fans for a couple of minutes to circulate any underbonnet heat!:Thumbs-up

General Technical / oil injector vacum pipe?
May 09, 2009, 02:56:25 PM
:chatok so the fd oil injector only needs fresh filterd air, what is your opinion on running the pipe to a small air filter rather than running to the primary turbo inlet?
:Thumbs-updo you have link to ken?

General Technical / oil injector vacum pipe?
May 08, 2009, 06:19:11 PM
Are you talking FD bumpstart :xconfused? on my fd the purge stuff is seperate to the oil injectors. theres a small vac pipe that goes from the oil injector nipples straight to the primary turbo inlet via a metal tee piece in the rats nest.
what i wanted to know is why does the oil injector have this pipe and why does it go to the primary turbo inlet?
i think andrewrx7 hit the nail on the head (thanks again) but would like to see as much info on this as possible so we all know exactly whats going on.:)
cheers

General Technical / vaccum source - single turbo
May 05, 2009, 09:07:44 PM
:Thumbs-up  I also read somewhere that the breather pipes connect to the primery intake because of emisions, not exhauste emissions but general oil vapor to atmosphere emisions.if the oil injector needs to breath then it must send out  a bit of oil vapor, right?so mazda plumb the breather into the turbo intake to eliminate any oil  vapor......I might be wrong tho lol:D

could this be the the charge relief solinoid?solinoid H on the diagram, looks easy to check if the uim is off as its on top of the rats nest towards the front,if that solinoid is dodgey surley the boost will be dumped all the time? just a thought.

3rd generation RX-7's / Help - key snapped!!
March 04, 2009, 11:28:10 PM
This happend to me,the key snaped off in the door lock,i was luckey enough to get the bit out using a pair of small fine scisors....i just managed to get enough grip to pull it free, then took the broke bits to a key cutter who cut a new key.if the new cut key doesnt work take it back to the key cutter as its hard to cut a key from two halves,it took me 3 trips to get one that works.

hope you sort it:Thumbs-up

General Technical / oil injector vacum pipe?
February 27, 2009, 10:43:35 PM
ive been trying to find out why there is a vacum pipe on the oil injectors but cant find threads about these specific pipes.
so can any body tell me what they do?why are they there?
it seems strange that somthing that sucks is conected to something that squirts....:spanki thought the omp would pressurise the oil making it squirt out of the injector?so why have a vacum pipe?how does it all work?
cheers guys....:Thumbs-up
